We expected this to fall apart quickly, but ordered it anyway because it looked like it would be fun while it lasted. If we had known how durable it is, we would have decorated it! Our cats are loving their new party house, which is holding up very well - we're so impressed that we'll definitely buy another when they eventually wear this one out - but we'll decorate the next one. It's very durable! Well worth the money! We did decide not to use the mouse toy on the long wire because we're afraid the cats would quickly get it loose and we worried about them being injured by the wire. We don't recommend using that part. But other than that, this cat farmhouse is a solid win!

I really like the idea

My cats love the scratcher underneath, but there is a hole in the top portion for the cat to get to the bottom and my 16lb boy could not fit and was too uncomfortable

My cats love the scratcher underneath, but there is a hole in the top portion for the cat to get to the bottom and my 16lb boy could not fit and was too uncomfortable to lay in there because i don’t think it would’ve held his weight. I ended up glueing more cardboard to make the top area a stable flat surface and he does lay it in now, but I shouldn’t have had to go through the effort.

The size and number of scratching pads won me over. I have a cat that is over 13 pounds, and this house is big enough for him and is slightly lighter “brother.”

The size and number of scratching pads won me over. I have a cat that is over 13 pounds, and this house is big enough for him and is slightly lighter “brother.” The only thing I did to improve things was to put some sticky tack on the bottom of the scratching surfaces. Without the sticky tack, the scratch pads were being pulled up.

Some people claim the house fell apart right away. Both my cats are over 13 lbs and play in the house a lot. They haven’t damaged it yet. It’s surprisingly sturdy

Some people claim the house fell apart right away. Both my cats are over 13 lbs and play in the house a lot. They haven’t damaged it yet. It’s surprisingly sturdy for cardboard. My only complaint is that there were no instructions how to put together. It would be nicer if it had a little color, but the cats don’t mind.

Sturdy

I got this as a gift for my kitties. I kind of expected it to collapse after an hour or 2 cause its just cardboard. But it has held upnsteady for 2+weeks now and

I have some chunky fur beans and this thing doesnt budge. They also like napping in it and scratching it. I will be buying more when this one eventually does break down

This is a very nice size, sturdy cat house/scratcher for the price! It took about 10 minutes to put together and it was an immediate hit with my two girls! There's plenty of room to scratch and play. The second story is stable enough that a larger cat (my tabby is about 15 lbs) can be comfortably supported while she scratches. The hanging toys that come with the house are made of cardboard which is a bonus if you have a box-chewer!

I loved this house at first sight but didn't like the plain cardboard. I debated for a long time because of this. Finally, though, I decided it was the best functionally so purchased. I ended up covering it with tissue paper - basically turned out to be paper mache - and I absolutely love it. Cats do too! They learned to pull the fish off so I substituted a plush hanging toy.
