This costume doesn’t restrict the use of a harness or collar and leash. We recommend making sure the leash attachment on your harness will not be obscured by this costume.

Will this fit a great dane?

For the best fit, we recommend measuring your pet and matching your pet's measurements as closely as possible to the sizing chart. To measure your pet's body length, measure the base of the neck to the base of the tail. To measure the neck girth, measure around your pet's neck leaving room for two fingers and to measure chest girth, measure your pet's chest around the widest part. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. For the complete sizing chart, you may view the photo below or click the “Size” tab, next to the “Instructions” tab, just under the product photos.

According to the measurements my dog would have been better off in an XXXL but they were out of stock so I took a gamble on the XXL because I loved the design, and while it could be longer, it still fit well enough! The straps are adjustable so as long as you don't mind the bun being shorter on their body, a smaller size can work. For reference, she is a 7 year old 86lb Female GSD. I absolutely LOVE this costume and can't wait for my girl to sport it on October costume walks!
