For my feral outdoor feline friends. Works great, simple design. Seems heavier duty than my last watering unit & it lasted 7 years! Easy enough to clean & wide mouth makes filling a breeze with outdoor faucet. 2.5 gal capacity is large enough to last 4-5 days. Not so heavy it's to handle. Would highly recommend!
I had a 1 gallon waterer like this that I had bought from Chewy years ago. The attachment that goes onto the jug before you place it in the base had broke from years of use, repaired it, then it loosened up and I just had to replace it finally. This waterer is larger than my last one, but has the same Quality. Sturdy, easy to use. It does have a different attachment that fits onto the jug after it's filled to place into the base, but I really don't see a problem. Filled it and placed it into the base with no problem. and no splash. If 2.5 gallons is too heavy for a person to handle, I suggest to not fill it totally full so that it's easier to handle. It's a good looking waterer, and as I said it's nice and sturdy. Best of all, it's made in the U.S.A. and that's important to me.
The 2.5 gal works as expected, but I didn’t realize it didn’t come with a filter or even a spot to insert a filter. It’s just a square-shaped opening on the lid. I wish I would’ve read the description a bit closer to learn that before buying. It’ll do for now.
