How is the tool adjustable?

This tool allows you to adjust the dematting cutting edges to the desired position appropriate for your pet’s hair length. To adjust the angle, press the FURextender button, and then lock the blades into place with the easy-slide tab.

Can this be used as a regular brush as well as a de-matter?

The Dematter tool can prevent mats from becoming worse and remove them completely. Grooming your dog daily with a brush or rake can go a long way to preventing the formation of mats. Once mats have been removed from dematting, it is easier to stay on top of detangling with regular brushing. FURminator detangling spray can make it easier to brush or comb out tangles.

The Furminator Works Pretty Well

This product was recommended by a friend who has a dozen cats. I bought it for my 17 year old, short haired tabby who had developed multiple mats in his coat.

This product was recommended by a friend who has a dozen cats. I bought it for my 17 year old, short haired tabby who had developed multiple mats in his coat. I massaged a little coconut oil into each mat and it helped the Furminator to remove the mats which did not come back and my cat's coat looks great!

Works very well on undercoat

Shadow is a very mature lady and needs assistance with grooming, she has a dense undercoat that mats easily. Allowing me to properly comb her hind quarters and tummy

Shadow is a very mature lady and needs assistance with grooming, she has a dense undercoat that mats easily. Allowing me to properly comb her hind quarters and tummy is not her favorite thing, but this seems to have made that portion of her daily becoming beautiful more pleasant.

Really works on my longer haired cat

As my cat got older he developed more and more mats. Tried another mat remover that did not work. This was on sale in desperation decided to get it if didn't

As my cat got older he developed more and more mats. Tried another mat remover that did not work. This was on sale in desperation decided to get it if didn't work with his fur would donate it. It did help much more than the other type I had bought. He became diabetic and his fur became oily,dandruff, more mats. Vet wasn't sure why, I asked about diet and they said try vitamins. It did help and with that under control the furminator worked even better. It removes the loose under coat very well stopping it from matting. For us it was a great buy.

I bought this to help with de-matting my senior cat. First if all, it’s not thin enough to get between her mats and her skin. Secondly, there is no sharpness at

I bought this to help with de-matting my senior cat. First if all, it’s not thin enough to get between her mats and her skin. Secondly, there is no sharpness at all to the teeth of the comb. It just pulls at her hair which hurts her. I think this is for dogs, not cats.
