I tried out the first one (without a pill) on my cat and she actually liked it. Then with a pill, and she swallowed both down. However, when I experimentally tried to give her another without the pill, she wouldn't touch it. I got her to eat it maybe weeks later, no pill, but she won't touch it again. Picky eater. Not the products fault. She just won't be fooled twice, lol. God bless. Jesus saves. Thanks again.
Works like a dream. Carlisle just sucked the pill pocket down with pill no problem there. The problem came in the form of explosive diarrhea. I have spent the past several months getting him back from constant diarrhea, and almost losing him, so we didn't need this set back. Apparently, Greenies, uses plant based materials that can cause this problem. It really is too bad, I am back to getting the pill down his throat without too many scratches. I am very dissapointedand Carlisle isn't happy either.
The kitty did not like the pill pockets (all flavors). She had the chicken and cheese for a while and then stopped. Disliked the cheese and tuna from the get go and then the catnip flavor worked for only one day!
Our Tux cat hides when it's time for medication, so some days he wasn't getting what he needed. I ordered Greenies as a last resort, and wish it had been my first try. The pills are small enough to hide in the pockets and Tux devoured the Greenies. We bought the catnip and the chicken-flavored ones, and he likes both.
They finally invented a flavor that my cat likes and it has been a lot easier getting him to take his allergy pills. I would say the only drawback is that the treats tend to crumble into pieces & fall apart & does not stay whole to bury the pill in. But overall, it's a hot with our cat.
I think my cat liked the actual flavor of these, but I was unable to sneak medicine into them without him noticing. The treats were very soft and easy to mold around the medicine, but my cat would just spit the pill out and scrape the treat off to eat it if he could. Not a bad product, just didn't work for us!
I have a finicky cat that takes pills twice a day. So far this flavor is working. Yeah!!! The dog likes them, as well, for her pills.
I have a pretty smart cat and assumed he'd just eat around the pill and then spit it out. But no, he has actually eaten both the treat and the pill every time I've given him a dose. I can't believe how easy it is. I thought this would only work on a dog!
My cat had been having pancreatitis like symptoms. He was prescribed pills and other medications. I tried everything to give him the pills, watched videos, used a piller, even had my ex husband do it (he seemed to have slightly better luck.) More often than not, however, the experience left him mad, me frustrated, and no pill inside the cat. A few times, I even got in the back of his mouth, he looked like he swallowed and he spit it out minutes later. It was awful. Finally decided I just couldn’t do it. Then my chewy order arrived. The catnip flavored greenies had such great reviews, that although skeptical (and I got another flavor just to be safe) I went ahead and got them. The box arrived, I immediately put the pill in it, and gave it my cat. He gobbled the treat whole and begged for another. Done. Next day, same thing. Cat is now recovering and I could not be more grateful to Greenies, Chewy, and everyone who reviewed this.!
Love the pill pocket concepts but my cats don't like this flavor at all. The salmon flavor works better.
