I bought this because another reviewer stated it fit in her Yorkie's mouth. However, it doesn't fit in my girl's. I can only brush the front teeth, not the molars where most tartar builds up.
Probably best for a bigger dog than our Paco. He is a 20# terrier with a smallish mouth. Too big for him and also too big for my first finger as it slips off.
My dog has sensitivity issues with the regular toothbrush. This fingertip brush is so gentle and works well. Perfect for my pup.
I regularly brush my babies' teeth, as Chihuahuas are prone to dental issues. My one chihuahua has extra teeth in her mouth and really needs it! They are uncooperative when I use a regular pet tooth brush so I thought that these might work better. Well, they absolutely do! I also bought the chicken flavored toothpaste (we had some of that already)and they like that as well.
Putting my finger in my cat’s mouth is a bad idea. He never bites me but with the toothpaste he probably thought my finger is food. His teeth are very sharp of course, and the toothbrush is not thick enough to protect your finger. As a result, I got a deep wound on my finger and it hurts!!!
Didn't work for us. I ended up giving mine to someone else. We are going to stick with just using a regular toothbrush. It was just awkward to use and position my dog so I could get both sides of her mouth. It was sturdy and super thick though. So if you like finger toothbrushes, this would be a good one to get. If you aren't used to using them, just stick with a plain toothbrush like us.
This is a much improved version of the old finger brush - my dog handles it much easier.
I recommend it is light to the touch and my dogs teeth saw a difference in one use. Good quality investment.
This is easy to use and so soft. It does not seem to hurt my 3 lb Yorkie's mouth.
I think the title says it all. This tooth cleaning finger brush has good flexibility and is a good fit for my finger. I prefer it to the ones that come with the toothpaste.
