Does this canned cat food need to be refrigerated once it has been opened?
Answer by ChewyAug 30, 2018
Your pet's bowl should be emptied of moist or canned food not eaten by your cat or dog within 4 hours if the ambient temperature is above 50°F. Chewy is winner

Same review for this flavor as chicken. My senior cat is having dental issues and his current prescribed food was harder for him to chew. I am on Auto delivery, received usual shipment so called to see if I could return and try another brand. Not only did they get my new order in a day but told me to give the case I had received to a charity, I'm sure SPCA will appreciate. Also note: when my other senior cat passed away Chewy sent me flowers - who in world would have thought that?

Hill's Prescription Diet c/d wet food

Generally, Teddy only loves the Tuna & Chicken flavors. Due to a health issue we switched him to Hill's Prescription c/d wet & dry cat food, surprisingly my boy wastes a lot of this c/d wet food flavor (Chicken stew, also) barely eats a teaspoon each can I open might be because not enough gravy per his preference. He loves the c/d dry food, though! I am glad this flavor comes in the smaller 2.9-oz can. Sure wish we could order single cans until we know it's a flavor our pet enjoys!

Wouldn’t eat it!

I tried this flavor in desperation trying to get my cat to eat. He wouldn’t eat the ocean fish pate style kind they have in this food. And he wouldn’t eat this one either. Not even with broth mixed in. He refused to eat or drink after a month of trying to get him to eat this stuff.

cat doesn't like

So I ordered this flavor despite the reviews of saying their cat wouldn't eat it. My cat loves tuna and will eat most anything, I was hesitant but I said F it and bought it. She did like it at first but quickly within the first few days she wasn't eating as much of it (usually she finishes her whole portion of wet food). At this point now she doesn't eat but more than a few bites. We have been trying to get through it because it is SO expensive but I feel bad that she doesn't like it. Don't put yourself in this situation of spending the money and taking the chance because mine was wasted. I think they need to reassess the recipe as it is clear cats do not like this. I have never had problem with the chicken stew one! But we need a better variety that the cats will actually eat!

Caught It Early

I started noticing that my 2 year old male orange tabby was straining so I took him immediately to the vet. The doctor prescribed the Hills Prescription Diet since if he continued to eat the food he was eating, the problem would of escalated quickly. Until I was able to order this flavor and the vegetable and rice in gravy, he did not care for the pâté ocean fish flavor. It was a slow transition, but he now enjoys his two flavored cans in gravy and the hard kernels. I am very satisfied with this brand and will continue to feed my cat the recommended diet he needs.

he does not eat it

My car does not like it. I was hoping to save some $ and see if my cat will it mix with vegetables and rice and he does not like it at all. So it is a waste. A cat needs to eat meat and that's it.

There are lower Calorie brands.

Percy came from the SPCA already overweight. Vet changed his canned food to Royal CANIN URINARY SO MODERATE CAL. Hills c/d would be fine, but if you have an overweight cat switch to Royal Canin SO

Hill's c/d wet food

Sofia didn't like this wet food. This is the second order of Hill's brand wet food my cat didn't like. I wish that I could order 1 can samples of wet food instead of full cases.I'm going to try Royal Canin brand wet food on my next order.

Awesome food!

Bella had repeat Uti's and this food has helped clear that up! She doesn't seem to mind the flavor. She also tried a pate kind and much preferred this stew option.
