Help your canine companion maintain normal bladder health with Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Urinary Care Chicken Flavor Dry Dog Food. Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract and create discomfort that can lead to more serious problems requiring the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support her bladder and healthy urinary function. It’s formulated with a precise balance of minerals to deliver the essential nutrition she needs without overloading her system, which could encourage the formation of crystals.

My corgi had to have surgery to remove stones april of '22 and was put on this food post surgery. while she and my other corgi absolutely love the food, her stones came back and they came back large. she had small clusters the first time and this time theres three massive ones in there. I know nothing is 100% preventable but this was supposed to be pretty darn close. hoping to switch her to the royal canin. its been an expensive process to make sure shes not dealin with this anymore
After my daughter's dog was diagnosed with bladder stones...we immediately went on this food with the can as a topper...scheduled surgery to remove the bladder stones...and the best thing ever was...after being on this food for about two weeks... they could not find the stones in his bladder!! Not with xRay and not with two ultrasounds!! He didn't have to have surgery!! Yea! He loves the food escpecially when mixing in the can stew with it. Thank you Hill's...kept a 3 year old Frenchie from having to be under anesthesia!!
Our labradoodle hasd stones in her bladder. After removal, our vet put her on Urinary Care c/d. She loves it but more importantly, after reading about its ingredients, it will keep her diet where it needs to be to avoid stones in the future. It's expensive but worth it! And be sure to get the letters right! this is c/d - there are others with letters too.
Great product, however the fact that every vendor sells it at the same price Strongly suggests that Hills (the science diet people) are guilty of price fixing. The price for this product is the same at every vendor I checked on the internet. Very sad that resellers are not allower to compete on price.
This was prescribed by our vet as part of a preventative maintenance plan to avoid bladder stones later in life. I hope it works, but time will tell. In the meantime, my Bichon appears to like the taste, and I think it's likely not as salty as the previous dry food with salmon he was eating.
I ordered a prescription diet food for my dog. Chewy contacted my vet directly and shipped the food to me in a timely manner. Chewy is a great company. Two thumbs up!
We have had a standard poodle on this diet for almost nine years now, and the price of the food has gone up almost 50% for the large bag over the past several years. Yeah, we get that prices are going up, but this is crazy for food that has been around for a long time. Why the steep increase, because you can? Not a fan, but there are very limited options, so you are kind of stuck.
This is just a great service! I accidentally ran low on this food for my 2 dogs! I went to my usual vet’s office to get it and they didn’t have any of this type. I was going out of town early the next morning and leaving my pets with sitter! What to do?? Vets office said call Chewy which I did. They sent food in 2 days. And luckily my pups made it! Thank you Chewy!!
Hi. Our 18-year-old Chi has long loved the taste of this dog food. We had a Bichon and two other Chi's who were prescribed this dog food who all three loved it, too, but they've passed on now. Peachy still can't get enough of it-she'd beg or steal what she could over the years. Now our vet says it won't hurt her and if she loves it that much, it's fine to keep giving it to her so she prescribes it. And she loves what I call 'puff balls' which is a cup of this dog food with just enough water on it to soften and 'puff' it up. You have to shake it up and coat them all and let it set in the fridge until they swell up and turn light tan and she goes absolutely crazy for them. She doesn't see or get around like she used to but she's our last baby out of 5, so that little extra effort to make her happy is worth it. There's no way she can go through her day without her bickets and puffballs. The way all of our sweeties went nuts over this dog food it must taste pretty darn good, so no matter what it costs, I can't let her run out of them. These days she just wouldn't understand and would probably think we didn't love her anymore which isn't true so we can't have that happen. We love her more every day. I imagine your dog would love the taste as well. They've certainly improved it in the last 20 years.
Pearl was placed on Hills C/D right after we rescued her and she was having some obvious urinary problems. I feel it’s what has kept her free of any urinary problems. She’s been on it for almost 6 years. It’s pricy but worth every penny.
