Was this a substitute since our regular is out of stock? Half the size and same price. Ouch

What is the consistancy, it says stew. Are there visible veggies? Is it very lumpy compared to pate? Vet is changing my cat to this but not sure he will eat it.

Answer by ChewyNov 16, 2019
This recipe is a chicken and vegetable stew. Please click the picture below for an image of the food texture.

One of my kittens has a Rx for this food but it is impossible to get him to eat with out my other kitten having this food as well. They only want to eat together. Is it OK to feed this to a cat who doesn't need a special food and have it be his only food?

Answer by ChewyOct 20, 2018
This product states that animal feeding tests using AAFCO procedures substantiate that Hill's® Prescription Diet® i/d® Feline Chicken & Vegetable Stew provides complete and balanced nutrition for growing kittens and maintenance of adult cats. This means that kittens and adult cats can eat this as a complete diet, but we always recommend consulting with your vet.

I’ve purchased the pate before, does this need vet approval every time I order?

Answer by ChewyJan 02, 2019
With approval given on another Hill's Prescription Diet i/d variety, the approval extends to all Hill's Prescription Diet i/d foods.

I don't know what the difference is with this food. Nala loves the i/d pate and has no issues keeping it down. Almost every single time she eats this, she throws it up. And there are some times where she turns her nose up to it completely. I wanted to give it a couple days to try to make sure it wasn't just coincidental, but it's not.

GREAT FOOD BUT SUPER EXPENSIVE!!

this food is great for my cat who has Obstipation (a severe form of constipation) which requires medication as well as prescription food but it is extremely expensive!

this food is great for my cat who has Obstipation (a severe form of constipation) which requires medication as well as prescription food but it is extremely expensive! It literally costs more a month than I spend on my own food! That’s why I gave it a 3.

Cat wouldn't touch it

He wouldn't eat it at all. Tried 2 cans, he sniffed and walked away. At least regular food he licks and takes a few bites. Wouldn't recommend this. Added treats

My cat was adopted after being Abandoned by her owner, So I feel it is my duty to make sure she gets the best food for her body that is healthy and keeps her strong, because she hasn’t had easy. She loves the ID and occasionally I mix it with some wellness that she likes to that is good for her and doesn’t upset her stomach. She definitely has a sensitive stomach thank you.

My little baby has had a difficult time with her bowels and the vet suggested this. She will only eat it when I have been at work all day and she hasn't had wet food 7x in the past 8 hours. She likes it and it has helped her poor little body retain some of that water she needs.

Might be good food but cats wouldn’t eat it

Our cat refused to take one bite, even after adding toppers that he likes. He likes the dry food very much, but I don’t want him eating much dry, so that’s not really

Our cat refused to take one bite, even after adding toppers that he likes. He likes the dry food very much, but I don’t want him eating much dry, so that’s not really a solution either. Our kitten tried it the first day but never again, so maybe another cat would like it, but both of mine said no thanks

Of the two digestive care foods I give him, this is his favorite. It has a real meat stew consistency. Since I’m on a fixed income (young people, be sure to avoid my error and plan ahead) I give my cat this stew as a treat and sometimes alternate it with the Hill’s chicken Rx, to give him some variety. Very pleased with this product, and as always, Chewy’s outstanding service.

Item delivered to wrong address

I tried contacting fed ex, which obviously are the ones at fault, but the said to contact you. The photo they took was of a purple door. I’ve gone over the neighborhood

I tried contacting fed ex, which obviously are the ones at fault, but the said to contact you. The photo they took was of a purple door. I’ve gone over the neighborhood and not finding a purple door as shown in photo. This cat food is expensive, so don’t want to let it slide. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Inconsistent weights in the shipment.

The cans show 2.9oz.weight. I opened several cans for my pet that were 3/4 full, many were like that, underweight. I pay $59.99 per case for this prescription

The cans show 2.9oz.weight. I opened several cans for my pet that were 3/4 full, many were like that, underweight. I pay $59.99 per case for this prescription food, I expect that they be the correct weight. This is not Chewey's fault, please alert the manufacturer. This is not right, the food is very expensive, it should not be shorted in many of the cans in the case.
