Can I use a veterinarian's authorization if it was written by a veterinarian out of state?
Yes. We accept valid authorizations from anywhere in the United States, and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico.
Why do I need a veterinarian's authorization?

My dog will not eat it.
I have used Science Diet Products for a long time. I ordered this for my dog that has developed liver issues. She will not eat it. I have tried mixing it with other foods and still no luck. I wish I could have ordered a couple cans to try it before ordering a case. The smell is really bad. I have tried mixing it with some of her favorite foods. She will refuse to eat.

Liver care
The product is good although my dog doesn't like it much but will eat it. my other dogs like it a lot. They can't get enough of it. So 3 dogs like it and one doesn't like it. So it's up to you but for 3 out of 4 I believe it is worth the purchase. Should say I have her eating it because she has problems with her liver. That is why she is on it and helping her liver.

Difficult to judge....
This food was prescribed for my beloved Pit Bull, Lily after the vet diagnosed a biliary issue. I found the food to be very dry and crumbly, with an unpleasant odor. Lily would not eat any of it, perhaps because she was feeling so ill. I have 18 cans left of this very expensive food. Lily passed away 3 days ago.....

Weird yellow crumbly texture and funny smell, but dog likes it.
I use this to get my girl to eat her liver kibble. I cut it into chunks and freeze them and then thaw each chunk individually in the microwave to add to her liver kibble when she is feeling picky. Stinky and weird. But she likes it.

Big thank you
We ordered this product on the advice of our vet. Received promptly. Our old dog loved this stuff. She ate it until she passed.
It's the after service I'm mostly going to address here. We only went through half a case of the two cases we ordered when she passed. We called to ask about return/refund of the product. Chewy told us to not worry about returning the food, and they credited the FULL amount of our order. They simply asked us to donate the remaining food to a shelter, which we will do. If that wasn't impressive enough, my wife received flowers and a sympathy card two days later.
THAT IS CALLED ABOVE AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Thank you, Chewy, for your thoughtfullness. We will use you in the future when your services are needed. I need to add more stars, five doesn't cut it here.
