Yes. If you have a paper copy of your veterinarian's authorization, you can upload a scan or photo to the Prescriptions section in your account or your order confirmation. You can also email it to vetdiet@chewy.com.
Can I use a veterinarian's authorization if it was written by a veterinarian out of state?
Yes. We accept valid authorizations from anywhere in the United States, and U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico.
Why do I need a veterinarian's authorization?

Because these diets are formulated for medical issues, veterinary authorization is needed to advise you on the best way to give them to your pet and to monitor your pet's health while they are on the diet.
Can someone else (such as a caretaker or family member) place an order for my pet?
Yes, but we'll need them to contact us and provide the full name of the pet's owner after the order is placed. This is so the veterinary clinic can locate your pet's records when we contact them. Email us at vetdiet@chewy.com or call us 24/7 at 1-800-672-4399.

Hills Canned Food
My 11 year old Yorkie usually eats the dry W/D Multi Benefit Food which I have on auto ship with Chewy. He loves it! But he's recently blind, and has had a hard time coping. I wanted to change his food to peak his interest, so I mix a scoop of the canned stew with his dry. He loves it! What was even better, it arrived a day early!

All cans in the box were dented
Delivery was received as scheduled. All items received in a box sealed. Dry food Quality was great. The 12 cans in the box were dented. Concern for my pets safety. Any way the items get review before delivery? Can items be returned for this kind of issue?

Return item
My dog Benny is decease and I called and notified you to stop sending everything. You kept sending his food on auto and I want to return this last shipment. The prior shipment I received I donated it to my vet. So STOP and tell me how to return this to you.

Dented cans
Badly dented can. I haven't looked all the entire case but, being the cost is prohibitive, the dented cans are not acceptable.
I appreciate Chewy.com for the expedition of this special food.
But, please watch the cans.

Food that's been a great help
This vet-recommended food has helped my boy in a very big way with his digestive issues. Ordering online is an enormous help since I'm old and have two injured shoulders, so I really appreciate not having to schlep to the vet's office.

A bit soupy
I bought a case hoping it would be "stew" and easy to mix with dry food. It serves the purpose but is a bit soupy and not stew. I'd like a bit more ingredients for the price....

Farley's new food is GREAT!
At Farley's vet's recommendation, I ordered his new canned food from you and he loves it. I am grateful that there is food tailored for Farley's diabetes so he can be one happy, healthy dog.
