This should make a new tank ‘instantly’ fish safe? Or will it actually take a few days to cycle first?
Answer by ChewyApr 09, 2018
Once you have added this, you do not have to wait to put your fish in the tank.

Does this work for a freshwater aquarium?
Answer by ChewyAug 07, 2018
This product is intended for saltwater aquariums.

Hello. I bought this bottle and put it in the first day I set up the tank. But I forgot to turn the skimmer off (website said to, but didn’t see that until today). Because I didn’t turn it off, would it has damaged it?
Answer by ChewyApr 25, 2018
Pouring this product near the skimmer could pose a problem; however, if this was poured away from the skimmer and the bacteria had time to settle, it will be fine.

Does not seem very effective.

I've cycled many tanks over the years. Had never used this product, so thought I would give it a try. I won't tell you that it's bad, but it has not been very effective for my purposes. Even with well cycled bio-media transferred from an established set up this has not had a noticable difference. Daily tests with API Master Kits shows it's working, but very slowly. More than a week in already with minimal changes.

Fully cycled my saltwater tank within a week

Love this. It fully cycled my saltwater tank within a week, converting ammonia and nitrites, to ultimately nitrates. Am buying more for water changes and emergencies.
