My 2 year Chocolate Lab has always had stomach issues. He is an active dog, as he is my hunting partner. He had giardia at one point, I’ve tried many different foods which have failed. He started on Purina Pro Plan, then I tried Sport, and many more after this with various protein types, all failed. Eventually he was put on prescription food which is very costly. I then put him on Hills Science Diet Sensitive Skin and Stomach. This sat well with him for the most part, but eventually he stopped eating it as much and didn’t seem to enjoy it. I was also looking for a better quality food which would have more protein for a hunting dog. Inukshuk was recommended, after much research I decided to pass on Victor or Pro Plan again and try Inukshuk. I officially transitioned my dog to Inukshuk and through the transition, he had zero issues and is gobbling this stuff up. I called the staff at Inukshuk before trying it and they were extremely helpful in helping me decide on which food to try. All in all, this was a success so far.
After having sick dogs from the victor food recall I switched slowly to this in hopes it would be a great quality food but sadly it didn't work out half of my dogs suffered terrible watery diarrhea from this even when mixed with old kibble to the point that I had to go and buy the old food ppp from the store was a huge waste .
Very happy with purchase. We have been long time customers of SportDog Brand food and our Aussies thrived on it. Unfortunately, they had problems with their manufacturing and shipping and it was getting to be more of a hassle to get it here and many times late or damaged. It was very nice to get this new food in good packaging and quickly from Chewy! It checks all the boxes for what we want our “girls” to Eat and hopefully you will continue to carry it! Thank you!
I had high hopes for this one. Ingredients looked good. It was too rich for my frenchie, causing him to throw up. Took me a minute to figure it out. Sad because I hoped this would work.
I was not prepared for the intense fish smell that the food produced, but in hindsight, I should have expected it. My dogs are ok with it, but they did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped. They are eating it, but do seem to enjoy it more when it is served with the food they had been eating. It is healthy and was a good price. Unfortunately, it did not work well for my dogs.
I’ve struggled keeping weight on my active sport dog for years now and finally this food has helped. I’ve tried pretty much everything out there and nothing helped except Inukshuk. After just 3 weeks on it, he now looks great and is at a proper weight and I don’t have to feed an insane amount. I like it’s not a 30/20 food, as mine don’t do well on those. All my dogs love this food and went nuts over the fishy smell when I opened it.
Switched my bullies over to this slowly off pro plan. Been on it 2 weeks solid now and stool is horrible and dogs losing weight. Should have never swapped from Pro Plan!!!!!
My German shepherd has a food allergy and a sensitive stomach therefore I had to be very careful with what I feed her. This food has stopped her constant itching and upset stomach. Her fur also looks healthier and feels softer. She loves to eat this food. Definitely recommend for dogs who have a chicken allergy and want a fish based diet for their active dog.
My aussiedoodle is going through a super picky phase ever since the vet suggested we cut out chicken. So I decided to try this food because I see people have had good luck with this one. Unfortunately my Zelda refused to eat this kibble... So we're back to the food that she will eat . I don't want to deter someone from trying this quality food it's just I have a very picky fur baby.
i'm sure this is a great food, it just did not work for my dogs. I tried for a couple weeks to get them switched but I couldn't get above adding more than 1/4 cup or they would get diarhea. The kibble smells, great seems fresh, dogs actually really liked it, it just didnt agree with their tummies :-(
