Can I use this for an adult cat?

This product is suitable for all stages of life and there is not a weight limit.
How does it keep cat pee from seeping through if it is canvas? Is there some kind of waterproof layer in the bottom?

This litter pan is made with leak-resistant PVC coating.
If I need to take this on a plane, do I pack it with kitty litter in it? Or buy kitty litter when we land?

This product is a travel cat litter pan and can travel with litter in it. We suggest consulting the airline on regulations regarding the cat litter.
My cat is a heavy scratcher in the box. How does this product hold up to claws?

This litter pan is made up of a cloth like material and probably will not hold up to heavy scratching with claws.

Never thought of this before!

Traveled from PA to FL with 2 cats in a truck. It fit perfectly on the rear floor. Zipped up and easy to carry into motel for the night. Easy to clean. Why I didn't have one 10 years ago? Lol don't know if they existed back then. Don't travel without it!

Constant unavoidable mess, but served its purpose

As previous reports have mentioned, this litter box is an absolute mess. I used it while traveling for a month with my cat, and it was helpful during the actual travel portion -- I could add a small amount of litter and fold up this 'litter pan' to carry in my backpack and pull out during layovers at the airport. (Note: Doesn't fit in a cat backpack/carrier, but was good for carrying in my own backpack.) But for our 1-month stay at an AirBnB, it was a letdown. The walls are extremely flimsy and folded into the litter so that I was vacuuming/sweeping every day, and I still couldn't keep the area clean. Ultimately, I still need a travel-friendly litter box, so I think I'll donate this one and try a fold-up travel litter box with sturdier walls next.

Easy carry travel litter

Bigger then I thought it would be and big enough for my 17 year old Cat. I use feline pine litter for more absorbtion and less scooping and no litter leaking out of bag. I also use rolls of doggy bags and put scooper right inside bag.

ergonomically impractical for day travel

I don’t know what I was thinking. I purchased this in a pinch. This is hard to carry when I carry Pax in my backpack carrier that has no room for this travel litter pan and fresh litter for day travel. I did consider the collapsible litterbox but that wouldn’t fit in my backpack pet carrier along with the fresh litter. There needs to be a better day travel system and a backpack pet carrier is nonnegotiable to reduce shoulder and back strain. Otherwise this is ok if traveling overnight or more with a suitcase and once settled at one’s destination to be left at the location. Not for carrying around unless one is able to drive and have a car.

awesome - can't wait to travel with it

I bought this for my new rescue cat and have been using it as her second litter box. i wanted to get her used to it so we can travel one day, but haven't actually used it on the road yet. i was worried she would reject it because the shelter said she has litter box issues and she really enjoys putting a back paw on the side of her hard-shelled litter box for leverage when she poos. However, after I put a clump of her urine in this box, she used it the next day. she now regularly uses it to poop and pee. looking forward to traveling with it! oh, and it cleans off really easy. she got some poop on the side and it wiped off easy with a clorox wipe.

Best travel item ever!

I truly wish I’d known about this portable litter box a long time ago. Lugging around the house litter box in a garbage bag when we traveled was a pain and spillage happened more than I care to say! I had a chance to take IRIS travel litter pan recently on a short trip and the ease of use is unsurpassed! Put some litter in, zip up the top, grab the handles and you have a lightweight tote you can carry with one hand! My cat approves too!

Very helpful

This is fantastic. We used it in the RV so it was great to be able to zip it closed while traveling. The kitties were fine with using it and clean up was easy when we got home. I did add a piece of cardboard a in first, before the litter so there was no mess at all

I hate to travel!

My human takes me in the car and we have to stay in motels and strange places. My human needed a lightweight litterbox, and this is good for both of us.

Perfect for travel

We are moving across the country with our two cats and this has worked out perfectly for us. We tried to go short distances each day and were able to zip this up in the morning and unzip it at the next hotel in the evenings. We're able to scoop it just like a regular litter box.
