    No more castoff seed!

By Birdgirl on Sep 28, 2021

The bag I got actually had more sunflower seeds than anything else, which makes me question the overall cost, but at least the birds ate it! Unlike cheap mixes that contain a lot of milo (this mix has NONE), the birds eat it all, and anything that is accidentally dropped or spilled becomes a meal for ground feeding birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. I was hoping that the feed would attract back some of the birds that were scared off by aggressive starlings and grackles. The "riff raff" have disappeared in the last couple of months or so--someone suggested they've gone off to harass the farmers at harvest. I haven't seen any new birds come in, but the feeders are popular. The "riff raff" have disappeared in the last couple of months or so--someone suggested they've gone off to harass the farmers at harvest. I haven't seen any new birds come in, but the feeders are popular. Tons of cardinals (sometimes 6-8 at a time), mourning doves (who have figured out how to perch at a couple of feeders), English (house) sparrows, and house finches. Sometimes bluejays drop by in the mornings, and as I started to write this, a Downy woodpecker started to eat from the tube feeder. Except for the remaining seed currently in the feeders, I'm actually all out of the Nut & Fruit. I might order it again, or try one of their other mixes just to compare their popularity and give the birds some variety which they seem to appreciate. Definitely if you have birds that like nuts and fruit, give at least a small bag a try, and if it works well for your group of feathered friends, you can always order more. … more

    The packaging doesn't lie!

By JulieB on Sep 25, 2021

I bought the large bag of this blend for the excellent value; will definitely buy it again for the product! I was delighted to see a generous assortment of nuts and fruits as I poured out the contents, and just after I tossed some into the yard an assortment of birds descended, chirping with joy. They'd been as eager was I was for a decent wild bird food. It does attract squirrels, too--but I love my bushy-tailed visitors so it's a win-win here. Thanks, Chewy, for offering such a great (and affordable) product!

    Birds love it

By JMBG on Jul 26, 2021

This is the one! I live in upstate NY and this birdseed is my favorite because it's the bird's favorite. I get gold finch, purple finch, cardinals, bluebirds, woodpeckers mourning doves, and the little sparrows. My squirrel and chipmunk are big fans as well (all creatures welcome here). This food provides lots of entertainment and enjoyment for me and my back yard visitors.

Squirrels LOVE it, Birds...not in the least

By JustMe on Oct 1, 2021

This product packaging needs to feature squirrels, not birds. Birds won't touch it, squirrels living large.

    It’s a hit

By Katie on May 16, 2021

The birds love this blend and so does the squirrel that visits every morning. The pole my feeder is probably 36-40 inches tall so the tray hangs low to the ground. The squirrel has managed to climb in it and eat. The birds and squirrels share it so I’m happy. They also seem to like the critter feed I bought to “distract” the squirrels. They both eat this as well. I do have a taller pole but I haven’t put it out yet. Not sure I want to put up a roadblock and prevent the squirrel from feeding too.

    Bag Busted

By Animals on Jul 5, 2021

I ordered 2 bags of this bird food, the squirrels and birds and deer enjoy it. One bag was busted and the seeds were all over inside of box. I got them in a bag and have been feeding the animals. Maybe handling in mail cause this bag too burst.

    Love this blend

By HummingbirdNut on Jul 24, 2021

Birds are drawn to this the minute I put it out. It is my go-to bird seed I've been using for years! Woodpeckers and Robins will even frequent my feeder for this!

    No waste and good blend

By Jackie on Jul 31, 2021

This blend mixed with a patio blend is working out very well for us. Using half the amount of seed with a blend containing millet and corn.
