Adds variety to elderly cat's routine
I adopted an elderly front declaw and wanted to give her some toys that would entertain her. This is one of the puzzle ball toys I've bought. I put her hard food and a couple treats in, call her name, and she comes running with her tail up knowing what it's for. I like that just by twisting it, it becomes easier or harder to shake out the treats, which adds interest and motivation. Buys me some time when I have homework and need to focus!
Keeps anxious cats busy!
I have a cat with separation anxiety who turns into a real ankle biter when I put my shoes on to leave for work. I fill this up with treats—something the size of Greenies works better, as opposed to smaller treats (the hole is kinda large for cat treats) and it keeps him occupied so I can sneak out the door. He has several treat puzzles and dispensers, but judging by all the random places I find this even when it isn’t filled with treats, he’s a big fan! It doesn’t exactly feel like the highest quality, but my cat loves it and the price is right if you’re not sure your cat will use it! I would definitely recommend this, and I’d purchase again.
I give my cat all her meals in this
My cat is overweight & we’ve been working on exercising more. She started a new diet regime & I added this to it. She gets 3 meals a day (vet recommended) in this ball. It took her a couple days to figure it out but now she gets so excited for mealtime & she runs around with the ball. She loves it & it not only keeps her active but it keeps her from eating too quickly as well.
My little kitty loves this treat ball. She plays with it every single day and never gets tired of it!
my cat LOVES his Kong Treat Ball
I bought my first Kong Treat Ball on a whim but learned quickly that my cat really liked it A LOT!! I typically put a few different kinds of treats into the ball when I head to work. Ollie knows I have his treat ball ready and he slyly watches me place it on the floor before I walk out. When I come home I then have the fun of finding the treat ball...sometimes under the couch, sometimes sitting perfectly right in front of the door as I walk in, just depends on how much fun Ollie had with it that day. The only "problem" I have with the treat ball is I have accidently thrown 2 treat balls away. So this time when I placed an order for a new one, I ordered 2 so I would have an extra already in the house should I accidently throw another one away!
Not attractive to cats; makes a better dog toy
Every cat is different, but my cat couldn't care less about this ball. It's a little big for a cat (in my opinion), and because its hard plastic, there's nothing for the cat to get its claws into (which would make it more attractive to cats). It's just a smaller version of a dog treat ball, which really doesn't work for cats. I gave it two stars because it's well made. I think it would probably work great for a smaller dog, but don't bother with this for your cat.
Excellent toy for kitties!
I fill these with Temptations treats & the cats literally "have a ball"!! They are easy to fill & the treats come out relatively easy. Gives them the exercise that they need & they are "working out" a little for their favorite snacks. Highly recommend!
Love the toy but needs tweaked a bit
I love that I finally found a kong toy for my kittens. The only issues that I have with it is the center that the treats are held in has too large of an opening. Almost all kitten treats are small bc of the size of their mouth so too many treats are dispensed at once and it empties quickly. I fixed the issue by taping a piece of paper in it to make the hole smaller.
I really thought my cat would enjoy because he is VERY treat driven and loves to chase toys. Because it’s a Kong brand, I was expecting a higher quality toy and for it to be a hard rubber but it’s cheapy plastic.
My senior cat loves it
It’s hard to keep my senior cat interested in a toy because she’s arthritic and doesn’t want to compete with her younger sister. But she clearly enjoys nudging this toy around and getting her treats.
