KONGs are easy to keep clean and top-shelf dishwasher safe. Caretakers should regularly examine toys and look for cracks, separations and/or missing pieces. Inspect KONG rubber toys by flexing the rubber when it is dry. Loose pieces larger than a food nugget can be harmful if swallowed so make sure to remove or replace damaged or worn toys.

Perfect toy
By Werewolf on Feb 13, 2021
Needed a tough, interactive toy for a VERY rambunctious kitten who has been making the life of a grumpy older cat fraught with irritation. This toy did the trick! Kitten LOVES it, he never seems to tire of hoping for the treats it dispenses and the older cat is much more content without the constant "Play with me!" of his younger companion.

Not good for slow feeding
By Demetrious on Feb 16, 2021
If you are okay with all of the treats falling out in clumps and the ball depleting in minutes, then this is a fun toy for you and your cat. If you need them to slow down, this won't work. Even with my biggest treats, they fall out all at the same time. This won't make them eat slowly at all.

My cat and kong
By Jody on Jan 10, 2021
Jett has been used to pawing his temptation treat snowman and mouse since a kitten. He loved the kong! I filled it up and he batted it around the kitchen for a while....lol then he was a bit upset that not every "bat" did he receive his treats....lol then he tossed it down the basement stairs...and ate all the treats as he went down...lol smart kitty

Great for Bored, Playful Cats
By Betty on Dec 18, 2020
My last cat never would have touched this thing (she would have been insulted and demanded her treats directly). But my current kitty likes this. I think it depends on how playful your cat is. I keep this in a closet when not in use, so when I get it out, she knows it's something special. I put about 5-6 treats inside and shake it to lure her in. Then I give her one treat by hand (so she understands what's inside the ball) and set the treat ball on the floor next to her. I do that right before I leave the house, so I can get out the door without her trying to follow me. It gives her something to do while I'm gone. The only bad thing about it is trying to find it again when I get home! Recommended My last cat never would have touched this thing (she would have been insulted and demanded her treats directly). Durable, but way too easy
By Mwood on Feb 3, 2021
Made of hard plastic, snaps apart and together like a big plastic Easter egg. Cat likes it, but he can empty it in less than 2 minutes, the center treat holder is too easy to empty and largely just pours them out. Easy to clean since it’s so easy to empty.

Decent for the price
By Mimi on Feb 7, 2021
Like others have said, the holes are too large. The typical sized treat will fall out easily which defeats the purpose of the toy keeping your pet busy. It works best with sticky treats like peanut butter, although that can be messy to clean.

Exercise a Plus
By Laurel on Jan 10, 2021
My eleven year old cat needs exercise during the winter months when he can't go outside. This took a little training for him to realize where the treats were coming from, but now he looks for it. I put it at different places around the house, which makes him move more. Only putting one or two treats in it at a time keeps it fun, but not fattening.

Kids new toy
By Kidstoy on Feb 16, 2021
My brats didn't seem to know what to do with it, my older lady got the hang of it quickly. Going to try a different treat, the ones I used seemed to be to large to fall out easily.

Treats fall out easily
By Vicky on Dec 12, 2020
My cats love the simple treat balls - a hollow ball with a small hole, but it doesn't take them long to get all the treats out. I thought this ball would take them longer because the treats have to fall out of a tube first and then out the outside hole. Unfortunately the holes are big and the treats come out 4 or 5 at a time so even if the tube is filled, they're gone as fast as my cats can eat them. Stick with the simple things in life is the motto here.

Wonderful but a lil too easy
By Blurgblorg on Dec 11, 2020
My cat loves this toy she gets real excited when I get it ready before work to keep her busy while I'm gone a definite favorite of hers but I wish the hole was a lil smaller to make it a bit more of a challenge for her so it would last longer. Still overall a pretty great toy it's hard to go wrong with this one. Would love if kong made a more complicated one for cats that enjoy puzzles tho like havin maybe more angles and levels inside the toy
