Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
I love the quality of the "KONG "Cozies" !!! I have a lot of Kong products like the KONG Goodie Bone, Kong Flyer, KONG Dog Toy etc. but had never tried their plush dog toys. I am a dog mom who is always on the look out for a new dog toy to spoil Reilly and Maya with. When I look for a new plush toys I search for key descriptive words like super tough, durable, great for aggressive chewers, or very tough fabric. However, once the toy comes into my home I am most likely disappointed. Within an hour I see stuffing and squeakers all over the the floor. Two weeks ago I decided to take a chance on them and I ordered two Kong Cozies Alligators. YES its been 2 weeks and they are not chewed or torn and still have all of their body parts and squeakers. This is a picture of Maya carrying them everywhere with her; even to bed. I am very surprised at the high quality of this plush toy. I thank KONG for such a high quality product. My next order will be the KONG Cozie Marvin Moose Dog Toys
My 1 year old lab (80lbs) had holes chewed in the back of the gator on the first day. She originally had the small gator and carried it in her mouth and babied it for 10 months. I accidentally left it in her crate overnight and she destroyed it so I bought her this one in hopes she would be gentle with it too but sadly she destroyed it almost immediately.
I have one senior Airedale that makes it his job to destroy all plush toys. Most last only a few minutes. This Kong toy is much sturdier than most and although it has lost some legs, most of the stuffing and the squeaker are still IN the toy and spread all over the house. I'll definitely order this toy again.
Although my dog dearly loved tugging and playing with this toy I had to throw it out and was disappointed that the plush comes off on our hands, clothing, and ultimately ends up swallowed in the mouth of the pet as they can't spit it out very easily. Please use caution and please let the manufacturer know
This quickly became our terrier's favorite toy (she has dozens to chose among). She is not an agressive chewer, but loves to shake her toys quite violently in the manner typical of her breed. This Kong toy has "survived" this treatment with absolutely no sign of damage.
While people are right about it not being super tough, we take it ways as soon as they start playing to rough with it. I have had to sew it a couple times from them playing tug a war to hard with it. However, what do expect? It is a stuffed toy they are going to rip if you do not supervise.
My puppy loved this toy. However since getting his adult teeth in he has become an aggressive chewer so this is whats left of our poor alligator. He did love it though and still pulls out the little leg to chew on once in a while lol. I was just hoping since it was a Kong brand it would be a bit more durable.
Bought this toy for my dogs birthday, he absolutely loves it! He hasn't ripped it and its been over 2 weeks, he usually starts to create a hole and starts taking the stuffing out of his old toys by now. Definitely recommend buying this toy for your big dog who likes to be rough with their toys.
Love Kong toys but this is not made for a dog that loves to chew or play with toys. It was a matter of no time before the stuffing all came out. My lab is only a puppy (11 months) but still should be tougher then it was.
Doggie loves it & has been cuddling it since we got it! He is a pitbull/lab mix, so I bet he will rip it apart soon as he does with every stuffed toy but he is happy with the toy.
