About This Item

Details

  • Eco-Straw uses special technology to compress high fiber wheat straw into a pellet that is twice as absorbent as newspaper based litter and will absorb 300 percent its weight in moisture.
  • When wet, Eco-Straw pellets expand and separate, allowing the wet areas to be scooped on a daily basis. This eliminates waste and the litter will last longer than traditional wood shavings. Easier to clean means less time cleaning cages and more time with your pet. Eco-Straw stays in the cage and litter pan and is not easily kicked or thrown out by active pets
  • Natural fiber from the wheat grass plant is not only safe if consumed by your pet, but can be beneficial to the digestive system of rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and other plant eating animals.
  • Eco-Straw is your ideal choice for a safe, dust free litter or bedding for your pet. It is toilet flushable and beneficial to the soil when composted. Heat treatment of the pellets guarantees that Eco-Straw will be mite and insect free.
  • Eco-Straw is cleaner and more hygienic for your pet than wood shavings. Due to the unique characteristics of Eco-Straw the urine will migrate below the surface area thereby moving moisture away from your pet. Eco-Straw will not track or stick to coats of animals with long hair, thus making the owner and pet more content and happy.

Both my bunny & my hedgehog love this litter. I truly believe it has been the most beneficial step in their litter training. My hedgehog ws obstinate about pooping where she wanted to until I discovered this litter. She immediately began pooping in her box & nowhere else! Chey had a wonderful price offer that I jumped at. Seemed like I had barely placed the order when it was already delivered to my house. LOVE Chewy!

Again, this is a great product for my rabbits, but it seems to arrive torn open or damaged every time I receive my auto ship. It also should be shipped separately from anything else because it crushes all their bunny toys and treats each time they ship it with any other items.

This litter does a better job controlling odor than any other rabbit safe litter that I've used. Not only that, but when I switched litters, my rabbits literally STOPPED having accidents. Overnight. That was the only thing that changed! I wish it were more affordable, but the improved litterbox habits make it worthwhile. And, if you don't mind me saying, the customer service was fabulous, too!

Safe & effective for rabbits

My rabbits were munching on the paper litter (Carefresh) so I switched to this wheat straw litter, which is apparently safer if ingested. It's heavier but works

My rabbits were munching on the paper litter (Carefresh) so I switched to this wheat straw litter, which is apparently safer if ingested. It's heavier but works so well - it's moisture absorbent and odor absorbent. Been using it for over 5 years. I put a layer of it in the litterbox and cover it with timothy/orchard hay.

Safe and no odor

As a first-time bunny owner, this is the first litter I tried. I like that it is safe in case he eats in and odor-absorbing. So far, so good!

My bun LOVES using this bedding and I LOVE it because it lasts longer than shredded wood shavings or paper bedding and has none of the allergy triggering dust that the other two have! I have used both paper and wood with previous pets and it always made me sneeze. My bunny can dig and nibble on these and they aren't harmful at all. Highly recommend.
