Is there vitamin C in this for my Guinea pig

Their is no added Vitamin C in this food. The ingredients are 100% Orchard Grass Preservative and Additive Free. Loose Hay Contains Stems, Leaves, and Limited Seed Heads. You can use the Oxbow Natural Science Vitamin C Small Animal Supplements to add Vitamin C to your guinea pig's diet.

Is this grown without grazon specifically or other pesticides?

Oxbow’s network of hay growers follow practices of good land stewardship in order to ensure quality crops year after year. As such, Oxbow hay has minimal treatment of herbicides and pesticides throughout the growth cycle, with use being limited to preserving crop integrity. The withdrawal period for these applications is 30 days and most pesticides or herbicides have a 10-14 day waiting period before harvesting. These waiting periods are followed strictly by all Oxbow hay growers, ensuring the integrity and safety of all Oxbow hay crops. None of their partner growers use any herbicides in the family of picolinic acids (i.e. clopyralids, aminopyralid, picloram, triclopyr, and several others). These herbicides are known to have longer residual presence in the soils compared to other commonly used herbicides and the chemical is not broken down through the digestive process. Beyond the health implications, use of these chemicals would prevent theirr family farmers from practicing rotational farming and other appropriate land stewardship practices. Furthermore, if you are interested in an organic option for your pets, our Organic Meadow Hay is 100% USDA certified organic and is thereby guaranteed to contain no pesticides.

It does not effect hubby's allergies as bad

We have tried many types of hay and this seems to be not as dusty and does not effect my hubbies allergies as bad. He does not touch it, but sometimes the dust

We have tried many types of hay and this seems to be not as dusty and does not effect my hubbies allergies as bad. He does not touch it, but sometimes the dust alone of other brands would put him in a sneezing fit. The piggies love it, and wheek really loud when they hear the bag!!

Good Quality

I fill my guinea pigs bins with Orchard Grass for one and Timothy Hay for the other and they alternate between the two. This has been the best quality for my money

I fill my guinea pigs bins with Orchard Grass for one and Timothy Hay for the other and they alternate between the two. This has been the best quality for my money that I've found. Once in awhile I will get a box that is either too dry or has small sticks or is mostly dust, but it isn't often and I have to say that Chewy is great about helping me when that happens. This is the best hay because it doesn't tend to cause hay poke (unlike timothy hay) because it's softer and more flexible than other types. I use this to fill empty toilet paper rolls I cut a slit in so that they can play with it and pull the pieces out. They really enjoy it!

Grateful for it always! ~ But not as exceptional ~

... as another wonderful hay from out west. Oxbow Orchard grass hay is a blessing & recommended by Vets as it his pure & natural, & to us, that is simply everything! We have used Oxbow for years, & then tried another brand of Orchard grass hay that is far superior in quality ~ but our adorably precious lil guinea pig began to prefer the Oxbow Orchard grass hay again ~ sooo much so, she wont eat a strand of the far superior hay! So we are extremely grateful with all our hearts for Oxbow! The other caveat is that wonderfully superb Chewy has decided to go with another carrier other then Fedex ~ who is always speedy, exceptional & trustworthy! Instead we have deliveries from Ontrac ~ which may be better for Chewy, but sincerely not for a tremendous amount of Chewy's Customers ~ who according to the web have had horrible experiences, in not receiving their precious pet's food & RX on time! I can tell you this was a most awful experience for us too with Ontrac as they are rude, & have simply awful Customer Service & no way to track items other then texts, & that's if you're lucky! & The delivery time's are a long wait now too! & Ontrac deliveries are provided by a 3rd party carrier, people delivering items with their own cars & not a delivery truck & late at night too! We are sooo extremely disappointed with this, as are an extremely huge number of others, who sadly had to switch from Chewy! We adore & depend on Chewy for years & purchase everything extremely sooo often! Chewy please change back to Fedex as you have always done, as Ontrac is a not only a nightmare, but we don't wish to leave a Co. we adore so too! Thanking you a million for your kindness & consideration!

My girlies would not eat it

Neither of my girls wanted to have anything to do with it, other than to use it as a potty. Had to go to a local pet store to get a 90 bag of Orchard and Timothy

Neither of my girls wanted to have anything to do with it, other than to use it as a potty. Had to go to a local pet store to get a 90 bag of Orchard and Timothy (same brand.) Maybe other piggies might not be so picky. It is a huge box and is tightly packed, so it might prove to be a good value if your piggies eat it.

My beloved bun LOVES this hay. I have always had a hard time getting him to eat his Timothy hay (especially as he got older) and giving him "dessert" hay which is too soft and sweet (like alfalfa) is not an option for his daily mainstay hay supply. Enter Orchard Grass. I don't know if it's because it's a little softer or a little sweeter than Timothy but he really took to this and has never had any digestive issues with it. Even Timothy/Orchard or other Timothy blends I noticed he will carefully pick through and eat the Orchard and leave the rest behind. Thankfully the quality of this brand is pretty consistent and keeps my old bunny happy.

Ordered this product thinking it would be cut grass like the other boxes of this size I've ordered from other brands. I've kept house rabbits for years and am very familiar with what is a good hay. Not this, it's all just tiny pieces, basically this is the waste hay that's left after they sell the long grass. Very disappointed in this product, will not order again.
