My dogs would try to bite the regular toothbrush and I was afraid I'd get my hand caught in the crossfire. I started applying the toothpaste with my finger (that they would never dare bite on purpose) and then when they were used to it I added this finger brush. It works really well and keeps my fingers out of the slime zone. Also they give you three in the package and I've been using the same one for months. I just wash it in the sink

Small for my finger

Their mouth is still too small. The space between gums and jowels is not enough. Ill keep trying but really need something smaller
