Important Information
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

No good for a feral cat
By jezz on Dec 23, 2020
I've not had any luck with this product for flea control on a semi-feral cat I have been taking care of at my job. The fleas die off for about a week, enough for her scabs to fall off and her to stop scratching... and then they come back in full force. I've used diatomateous earth in her shelters in addition just thinking maybe she was picking up a few errant bites and that it might be easier in winter, but we've had loads of freezing temps here lately and she is having a TON of flea bites and I've even picked a few off her with a flea comb a few days after treatment.

5 year user : somethings up
By JayBee on Nov 10, 2020
my cat has used petarmor for his entire 5 years of life and its worked great. until earlier this year, unfortunately. i dont know what happened; whether his body has adapted, the fleas have adapted, or the "recipe" has been changed, but its not working anymore. itd been a handful of months ive kept seeing a couple fleas sporadically. i thought he just had a few and maybe the petarmor wasnt finishing the job, so i got flea shampoo to do it myself. he had so many. they were falling away, writhing while i dried him. its clear this stuff isnt doing what it used to. thankfully hes had to stay inside lately bc of a lost collar and hasnt picked up any additional passengers the last couple weeks. my cat has used petarmor for his entire 5 years of life and its worked great. until earlier this year, unfortunately. i dont know what happened; whether his body has adapted, the fleas have adapted, or the "recipe" has been changed, but its not working anymore. itd been a handful of months ive kept seeing a couple fleas sporadically. i thought he just had a few and maybe the petarmor wasnt finishing the job, so i got flea shampoo to do it myself. he had so many. they were falling away, writhing while i dried him. its clear this stuff isnt doing what it used to. thankfully hes had to stay inside lately bc of a lost collar and hasnt picked up any additional passengers the last couple weeks. i have to give him a second bath next week to be safe n' get the rest. im trying seresto instead … more

works until it doesn’t
By btbd on Nov 5, 2020
I have been using this product for 3 years now on both my English bulldog and 2 indoor cats. I have never had any fleas over the years. Until now. I’m not sure if it’s because I moved to a new apartment, or what. The fleas weren’t a problem until 2-3 months after moving, so I don’t think it’s house but maybe the yard outside. Anyway, I may not of had a flea problem before if the dog was never introduced to fleas, but now my dog some how was introduced and this medicine did not kill the fleas or prevent an infestation. Once I get this flea mess under control, I’ll have to look for a new flea preventative. I give 3 stars because it did seem to work... until it didn’t

By catissa on Nov 13, 2020
So i usef this brand on my dog and it worked great until the fleas got real bad in the summer and then she also needed nexgard chews. But its like the tubes for the cats come empty now! I used it for the last 2 years and it worked fine but now doesnt seem 2 work at all. I think they changed the formula or something bc im seeing similar reviews here.

Flea problem
By charlie1 on Nov 20, 2020
I think they changed the formula, it always worked, but this last time it looks like is not working, will give it another few days before I ask for my money back. I applied the dose 3 days ago and today I found 2 fleas on one and the female cat continues to scratch desperately.

Does NOT work!
By ScruffysMom on Nov 28, 2020
I purchased this for my indoor cats as a monthly preventative. When I took my cat to get spayed, she had some fleas, therefore, this product does NOT work. Do not waste your money. Veterinarian told me that this never works and if it does it’s only for a week or 2.

great price, works fine
By allyson on Nov 1, 2020
I've been using this on my cats for over a year now and have had no problems when I use it. There have been months when I chose to go without it and the fleas would come back, but as soon as I apply this to all of my cats the fleas disappear.

Works good.

I havent seen any fleas after applying this to my cat although it did seem to take a long time to dry on him, upwards of 6 hours. Other brands seem to dry faster.
