Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

I purchase this monthly topical treatment from my nephew cat whom weighs about 6#. She likes to go outdoors if it is nice outside, but comes inside when it gets dark and stays in the house. I've been using this for over a year now since he got her. She was from a litter in the neighborhood that momma set up on someone's front porch. She is what the vet calls a Short haired domestic? I am a dog person but this cat has a lot of character likes dogs do; and she's becoming my friend. LOL Product works great. I actually use the topical on my dog (75# blue nose pit) but my female (75# American Staffordshire terrier) she has a flea dermatitis so had to switch her to Nexgard. I have used all the petarmor products on my dogs and now his cat and they all work great for flea prevention except the one I mentioned above. All our animals are spayed and neutered to help protect the pet population! ;-)
I have, and will continue to value Chewy's large variety of products for both my cat and dogs, some things that I can no longer purchase locally...you always have it available. When my dog recently passed away after a wonderful 14 year run with life, the bouquet and card that arrived was a surprise, but sincere confirmation that your philosophy is also to care for animal owners. Thankyou. P.S. In the past small containers of medication always arrived in a huge box that would not fit in my mailbox. I even had contacted the distribution/packaging deptpartment of Chewy to explain that it actually created a bit of a dilemma for me as I had to travel to pick it up. I received the nicest little size-appropriate box in my mailbox the other day with meds....Oh, Thank you!!
This product works just as well as other more expensive brands. I used this in conjunction with vacuuming and a household spray. We had foster kittens that came with fleas and they infested out home for about a week. It worked fast, didn't bother the cats skin and was easy to apply. I will continue to use this brand.
I have 5 cats and 1 dog that use this treatment on a regular basis. Does the job and costs much less than major brands
We bought this product for our THREE cats. We put it on them prior to bathing them and cleaning our entire house. Two weeks later we are doing more baths and a different treatment because they're almost worse than before this treatment.
PetArmor worked fine for a year when Fluff was a kitten and stayed indoors. When he became a fully grown cat that loved to venture outside multiple times during the course of a day, this treatment was no longer as effective. Last summer, we had really bad flea infestations in both of our homes. I was covered in flea bites from head to toe. It was absolutely miserable. I had to clean and disinfect everything. It took 5 long months to clear away the infestation. In spite of my best efforts to prevent another recurring infestation this summer, the leftover treatment we used for the second kitten we rescued did not work, even though she stays indoors. She still picks up whatever fleas Fluff brings in, and constantly scratches herself. Our second home is now infested with fleas again. I'm researching other treatment options and don't plan to buy or use PetArmor products again. It may work fine for cats that stay strictly indoors, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for cats that frequently go outdoors, or indoor cats that come into contact with cats that like to go outside.
I have flea smoke bombed the house, bathed the cats, tried numerous brands of flea drops, oral flea capsules and was at my wits end. It was truly an infestation of fleas. I decided to try petarmor out and didn't hold my breath for this working but it did! Day 1 I did not see any changes but on Day 2 and Day 3 I brushed DEAD fleas off the cats. I feel like a weight has been lifted and will be buying this product again as needed. :)
This product did not kill fleas on any of the multiple pets I used it on. Unfortunately wasted my money and now having to wait to buy a product that works
My dogs and cats love the food and it loved the meds I got for them.
Great product and costs less than some others. Quickly elimates fleas on my cats.
