This automated feeder is intended to be used for your pets food only. It's recommended to use the Petmate Pearl Replendish Waterer With Microban if needed for water.
How does it actually work and know when to stop filling bowl

This is a gravity feeder, you can fill the food from the top and the food will drop down into the bowl as the bowl empties.
What size do you recommend for two kittens/cats?

For 2 cats the 5 pound would be recommended., however, it does depend on how much you'll be feeding and how long.
need to know if I/we can order replacement feeder and water containers the ( clear ) containers. we have the base's, just need the containers.
