Why is dried yeast in this food? Can this contribute to yeast infections?
Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2022
The dried yeast is non-fermentative and made up of at least 40% protein. As a high-quality source of protein, it helps build and maintain your pet’s strong muscles. It’s also a rich source of B vitamins to help support your pet’s overall health. It will not cause yeast infections.

Answer by ChewySep 30, 2021
You should see an improvement in 30 days. Some pets can take longer. Purina recommends allowing the food time to work or speaking with vet for further assistance.

Fed Ex is Unsat

Unfortunately, package was left at the end of my driveway in the rain and it was ruined. The driver refuses to drop packages at door. This has been an ongoing problem which I have addressed multiple times with no resolution. Unfortunately, I am going to have to leave chewy since there is no other delivery system used in my area

My labradoodle is doing well on a combo of this and a prescription brand food for GI sensitivities. This food is more economical and I'm very glad his system handles it well as the combo is helping me save money and still give my dog a veterinary-trusted brand.

5 stars for ingredients, 0 for taste

She used to like it. I'm not sure if they changed the taste of this stuff but she will not eat it at all anymore. I think the PPP line is hit and miss. I've tried all the flavors/blends and while some dogs like it, some don't. And while I understand forcing them (basically only offering this food, per Purina/wsava ambassadors) to eat something because it is healthy, well I want them to enjoy it as well. Imagine being stuck eating nothing but whichever food is disgusting to you and basically you'll starve if you don't eat it. Now I sit with a half bag and one unopened. So in the end, if you are going to start your dog on this food, I would recommend not buying a huge bag to start and with no Autoshipping to avoid my mess.

I was apprehensive because I really didn't feel in whole Purina was a great food but I couldn't be more pleased. My dogs love it and their coast is already showing a huge improvement and their ears are clearing up!

After being through a bunch of fish diets, including the Salmon and Rice one by PPP, I finally found a food that gives my dog firm poops 100% of the time, nourishes his skin, leaving a nice and shiny coat, and something he likes to eat (He didn't like the Salmon and Rice recipe). 5 stars all the way, and I can finally relax. He was on TOTW, Acana, Royal Canin, Wellness and now this. Only minor set back is he has a little bit of skin discoloration around his crotch, but the vet said if that's the only problem then that's ok. I'm happy.

Good food for dogs find it unpalatable.

I’ve had my dogs on this for several months. And even though I change proteins, they are still an interested in it. Now I’m stuck with a half a bag that I’ve already loaded into my dog food dispenser. Really bummed because I think it’s a good food.

Love it

My bog only been eating this for 31/2 weeks and what a difference in he. He eats more. Not licking his paws all the time. And what I love the most it he is not losing so much hair. That's a big difference.

Sensitive stomach and akin

I have one dog with severe allergies and one dog who scratches and chews himself and has a sensitive stomach. While the food has not had any affect on the itching, we have had zero vomiting since starting on it

Not appealing to my pup

I started to mix this food into his regular ProPlan Sport to try and transition him, he would not eat his food -OR- pick at his food when this was added. Not sure if it's a bad batch, or if he just doesn't like it. Exspensive "trial" bag :0(
