Answer by ChewyNov 10, 2019
Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NF Early Care is specially formulated to support feline kidney health. Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NF Advanced Care has been specifically formulated to minimize the sign of kidney failure and help slow the progression of the disease.

my cat is elderly...20 years old... with difficulty chewing but won't do moist food...what size are the NF Kidney Function dry kibbles?

Answer by ChewyOct 29, 2018
This kibble is small, flat, and round in shape. Because this kibble is extruded, it does not have specific dimensions and will vary slightly in size.

Is it ok for my healthy cat to share this with my cat with ckd? I have a hard time feeding them different foods, they always like the other better.

Best of the kidney foods we tested!

Our kitties are all older, with Frank and Jo being elderly. Frankie is very picky and this was the best kibble we tried. It has kept him and Jo stable for 2 years!

Highly recommend asked your vet about this is your babies have any abnormal kidney values. *asl for a kidney panel if they are 9+!!! 80% of cats get kidney disease and catching it early is key!

My cat eventually ate this after leaving multiple options out for her to choose from and she ate it for 3 whole years. She got a taste of the hills k/d and turned her nose up at it. It is EXTREMELY hard/crunchy so it’s not great if your kitty has teeth problems.

Great product that helped so much!

We mix this 50/50 with our cat’s other food and her kidney numbers have been steady and great for over a year now. Thanks!

Boo ate this food but I could tell he didn't like it.

We are not 100% sure (may have been a medication) but it seemed this food caused him to vomit.

Dry Cat Food for my Cat with Kidney Disease

Ingredients were not bad, but my cat did not want to eat it. Wish the food was more appealing to him.
