Transition Instructions

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet's digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

FAST DELIVERY - GREAT QUALITY FOOD

My cat has damaged his knee and my require surgery. The vet wanted him to eat this food IN the dry version to lower his weight a little. He is a good sized cat. At the beginning, he did not want to eat it but he and my other cat are eating it now. They seem to really like the dry version. They also eat the wet each day now. Since it is more expensive, I really wanted them to like it and they seem to.

Overweight cats love this

We have two cats that are very pudgy, yet finicky about their food. It has been difficult to find a diet catfood they will eat. Both love this Royal Canine food.

My cat loves it!

We use the Royal Canin Appetite Control dry kibble, which my cats love! Want my male cat, who has IBS, to have a canned food in his diet to help prevent crystals and this is a great product to do that with.

Cat did not approve

I really wanted to like this, but my cat did not approve. He barely ate a quarter can a day. I tried mixing his favorite dry food into this, as well as another Royal Canin wet food he likes--to no avail. The food looks gray, has a gross gelatin-type glaze over it, and smells disgusting. I would not recommend anyone buy this one. Royal Canin Weight Care is much better. And here's the kicker: my cat became more hungry and aggressive. I'm going to try to donate the remaining cans. Wish me luck.

Autoship price jacked up

The food itself is ok. My cats will eat it, but not a lot of it. I still have to supplement their diet. However, my issue is that the price of this item jumped over 30% in one month. Not $3-- 30%! I guess this is the down side of autoship. You can't add it to autoship and forget it, you still have to check the prices of your items every month.

Hangry kitty loves it

I have a kitty that needs to shed some weight but gets aggressive and bites when he’s on a diet. He is also pretty picky. This was recommended by our vet and Ham absolutely loves it. The pieces are relatively small and thin, rectangle shaped. I wish there was a bit more gravy to make it savory but it is still pretty moist. He seems satisfied after eating and relaxes on the sofa. He still eats a little kibble as well. Does not pace about or bite out of nowhere. Definitely going to reorder as it was recommended by the vet as a high quality food.
