Is there an average for how long this food is good for? I have a chihuahua who only eats this wet food for breakfast, so 24 cans would last us a very long time.

Answer by ChewyOct 06, 2020
The "Best By Date" will vary from batch to batch but is located on the bottom of the cans. To keep wet foods fresh, place them in a covered container in the refrigerator, and make sure they are used within 1 - 2 days.

We use Royal Canin Urinary canned food regularly and have had a very good experience with it. It has been effective for supporting urinary tract health, and our dog enjoys the taste, which is especially important when medication needs to be mixed into meals. We primarily use the canned version because we prefer the softer texture, though we do use the dry food sparingly. The canned food mixes well with other foods and helps keep meals appealing and consistent. Overall, this product has been reliable, easy to use, and helpful for managing urinary health. We would recommend it to other pet owners dealing with similar concerns.

Our dog would not even go close to this food, we have had to throw it out meal after meal given she refuses to eat it. Switching to a different brand that may be more palatable to her. We had to switch to urinary heath food given our dog has a history of bladder stones, so we had to stop giving her the previous good even though she loved it. Hoping we will have more luck with the next one

My dog Pepper was found to have a bladder stone the size of a quarter. The vet indicated that it is possible that changing to this food and with antibiotics that the stone could break up an avoid surgery. It really seems to be working. An added benefit is she loves the taste. Looks like this will be her go to food from now on for both the health benefit and taste. Thank you Chewy!

Our vet told me to order it because my 15-year-old miniature poodle has developed tiny bladder stones. Within a few days of beginning the food transition from Max's previous food, he became lethargic and began drinking enormous quantities of water, followed by peeing all over the house. He has never had accidents in the house and has access to a dog door 24/7, but he couldn't hold it long enough to make it outside. Even belly bands were insufficient to contain how much he was urinating. I discontinued the food transition until I have a chance to talk with the vet next week.

Bertie LOVES this food. We've had to try numerous prescription foods for various reasons, and this one required no additions to coax her to eat. Be sure to add a little water to make the "gravy" and make it little mushy. She gobbles it up right away now. I feed her 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night, so it's easier on her tummy.

Great for pups with urinary issues

Our Biscuit has been on this diet for a couple of years. She loves the taste (of course Pugs will eat anything)... and she has been very healthy.

Yeah, when my dog gets hungry enough, he will eat it unfortunately, due to his condition he needs to be on this. He will not eat the formula at all without something else mixed into it. I don’t like the product because it has Carregienan in it, which is a carsenagenic substance

She will actually eat her food. Surly the most picky of dog, she waits to see if there is anything else to eat before she eats her real dinner. The food looks good and when you first open the can (by the way you don't need your can opener) it smell almost and I say almost like a good stew. We warm up the second helping since she only gets 1/2 can.
