High ion concentration in urine can lead to stone formation including struvite and calcium oxalate crystals, that’s why this veterinary exclusive recipe features Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology, which may help reduce ion concentration. To help dissolve struvite stones and help keep them from forming, this recipe is crafted with a reduced level of magnesium. Ask your vet about pairing this wet food with Royal Canin’s Urinary SO dry dog food and treats!

this has been a great product for my pup's needs. Recently however, the quality has declined. The amount of actual product in the can has decreased and they fill the can with a liquid "goop" to make up the volume to make up the difference. Very disappointing!
My almost 3 year old Standard Poodle has had several UTIs and 2 instances of struvite crystals in the past 8 months. His veterinarian recommended this food, and it’s been great for dissolving crystals. We tried the loaf formula, but it causes a lot of gas for him (belching). I prefer the loaf since it has more calories, but we’ll be switching back to the slices in gravy. Slices in gravy isn’t a good description of this food, they’re more like chunks. I can’t speak for how well it helps with UTIs yet, but it does a great job of dissolving struvite crystals.
Love the timely delivery & I also love, love your new commercials! Couldn’t recommend strongly enough!
Wow, this food has really changed and I’ve been buying it since 2016. Hey, I get it, there’s inflation. But to charge way more and then switch the formula at the same time from a gravy to a watery broth and the broth is 25% of the can? I’m not paying for water. I calculated I’m going through a case a week sooner so it’s money in Royal Canin’s pocket. A case used to last me a month, now it’s 3 weeks. Don’t buy it. I switched to the urinary so in loaf formula and it’s fine. My other dog gets Just Food for Dog’s dog food and although the price has gone up too, the quality hasn’t changed. What’s up, Royal Canin? This is shameful.
For some reason my American Akita prefers chunks over the loaf. He loves it
at least it is appetizing to the dog that has to eat it! Nothing worse than spending a lot of money for a specialized diet, and your dog won't eat it. Ruby loves this food and licks her bowl clean every day.
Very expensive, and I keep getting dented cans in my shipment
My little chihuahua mix was very Sick with badder stones. The vet had prescribed Hill brand for the stones, she would not eat it and was still very sick. The vet changed the food after 30 days to the Royal Canin S/O and she loved it. This is a very picky little dog who refuses to eat any dog food but loves this. I am grateful!!! She is finally feeling better and still loving the food.
Vet ordered diet. Better price than the pet stores.
This is perfect for my Havanese with recurring bladder stones. It agrees with his system and he loves the taste. This was recommended by the internal medicine vet and I am thrilled to have it delivered to our door by our pals at Chewy. Perfect!
