I was running very low with senvelgo for my cat as she needs to have a daily dosage for her diabetes, can't miss any dosage. I called chewy to start the first initial order of senvelgo and explained to the pharmacy department that I needed the medication yesterday, meaning, I urgently need for the medication to arrive no later than 2 days max because my current bottle would allow two more dosages. So, once they received confirmation from the veternarian's office for approval, then they would start preparing the medication for shipping. From the time I started ordering the medicine to delivery at my doorstep it was 1 day. I couldn't believe it. They kept me informed via email from the prescription being approved to being shipped. Everything took 1 day and it said could possibly be up to 2 days but received the medicine in 1 day. Awesome company and there has never been a time where I've spoken to anyone that has been rude or have an uncaring attitude. I've purchased other items before and everything I've purchased has arrived safely. If some people want to blame anything on chewy concerning the condition of a box upon arrival to someone's home, they need to point their finger at others, such as UPS. They have sometimes some people that are less caring about other people's goods. As for me I give chewy A+ rating. Good for you chewy!

As others have mentioned here, be very careful with this medicine! Go to a vet that specializes in diabetes. Between the time you order the medication based on clean bloodwork and the time you receive it, your cat's condition may change significantly, and they will get very sick. Our vet recommended this, and now our kitty is in the ICU and will likely die of euglycemic DKA and damage to other organs. As the animal hospital admitted our cat, they questioned why we used this drug at all. They said they see thousands of animals annually, and their go-to is insulin.

My cat BK started this medication about 3 weeks ago. The medicine is definitely making a difference for her since she has acromegaly. However the dosing syringe given with the medication goes by pounds, not Milligrams so I have been accidentally under-dosing her for 3 weeks now. Please note this. I did not see it anywhere in the product description or insert.

My 12 year old cat was Dx with Diabetes and it was shocking + stressful. You have to mail in certain Rx's that was frustrating as I first mailed the wrong Rx + had to go back to the USPS. The Vet + Chewy worked together to speed this up and I am so appreciative. Then I learned my cat was not going to be able to take this Rx. Chewy went above +beyond, noting they would credit me. I advised the VET I will donate the unopened RX to their clients or charities.

This is a drug that is awesome if it works for your cat, but you and your Vet need to absolutely follow the guidelines for whether your cat can use it. If you don't meet the drug requirements, or if your cat's test results are not in the limits the drug literature describes, it can make your cat sick or cause DKA. It is a hands-on medication that needs some of the same testing and observation that insulin dosing requires- you need to home test for ketones and blood glucose, and pay attention to your cat's eating and drinking, and litter, habits. My cat has been taking this for two weeks and she is doing very well so far; we've also had 3 vet visits in that time and home testing daily. I am so sorry for anyone who has had a cat react badly or fatally, but I know that can happen on insulin also.

The literature suggests that Senvelgo and insulin are equally effective, one is a once a day oral dose and the other is twice a day injections, respectively. My 17-year-old otherwise healthy cat has been on Senvelgo for two months with excellent blood sugar control. It is easier for me to administer aonce a day, single dose than twice a day injections, because I have a chaotic schedule.

I bought the first 2 bottles from my vet and they both leaked quite a bit when using the syringe to remove from the bottle to administer. I bought the 3rd bottle from Chewy hoping that if I get a different lot # that it would not leak. Well it leaks too. This medicine is too expensive to have a leaking problem for administration. This company should figure out a better bottling system.

I never ordered this drug from Chewy because I purchased it directly from the doctor's office. My beautiful boy Warrior had kidney disease, which led to constant UTI's. If you have a cat that suffers from kidney issues refrain from using this drug. Warrior died from Diabetic Ketoacidosis. Please be careful using this.
