My cat doesn’t like it
This was a prescription food prescribed for a newly diagnosed diabetic cat but he will not eat it. The first time I offered it to him he ate a little bit and I was encouraged but now he wants nothing to do with it. This cat seems to have a pretty sophisticated palate and in general he will never eat the same thing more than a day or two but I have offered him some of this food more than once and he would rather not eat at all then eat this unfortunately
DM canned cat food
Rather than doing insulin injections for Buddy's recently diagnosed diabetes, I went the route of the Glipizide med and changed his food. Not only has Buddy's glucose level gone down, but he loves the canned food. He is not interested in the treats and dry food however. Still a great outcome since this treatment only works in 25% of the cats.
She's like a new cat!
Our 12 year old cat Dolores, was diagnosed with Diabetes a month ago. We immediately started her on 12-hour insulin shots paired with this new diet per Vet's orders. Within exactly one month's time, she's like a new cat! She's got more pep in her step, and for a black cat that has ALWAYS suffered with TERRIBLE dandruff—her coat is silky and shiny. I never thought I'd see it! She's always loved food (hence the diabetes), so no problems with taste here. She begs for more all day. Is it possible she enjoys it too much?
Cat food special
My cat does not like this food but I keep trying . She liked it at first but now turns her nose up. Don’t know what other food she should try to get her on the right track of diet.
They ate it twice and then won't
At first I thought all three of mine would eat this (only two need it) - unfortunately after eating it a couple times now they won't touch it. Not one of the three.
Not the best
Our cat refuses to eat this food. I’m sure it is supposed to benefit our cat with his diabetes, but he won’t eat it.
Buddy likes it !
Buddy did not like the Hills MD liver flavor. This food is eaten right away, glad we changed.
Almost a miracle
The Purina ProPlan Veterinary line of diets has always been a strong and positive help for pets in need of a specialized diet for medical reasons. I am happy to report that my Diabetic cat does not require insulin at this time although she was started on it when she was diagnosed. She is completely controlled by feeding the DM diet as prescribed. This may not be the case for every kitty, but for owners it may give them confidence in the efficacy of this product as a part of their diabetic cat’s medical treatment. Ask your veterinarian about using it. Thank you Purina ProPlan.
My cat ate this food right away and she isn’t one for changes. The smell of this food is also pleasant unlike some others . Very pleased she likes this food because she is on a strict diet so she doesn’t have many choices.
Excellent for diabetic cats
This food (prescribed by our vet) and regular insulin injections keeps my cat's diabetes nicely under control. Appreciate subscribing & receiving regular shipments.
