Choosing the Right Insulin Syringe
Your veterinarian may prescribe U-40 or U-100 insulin for your pet, and it is critical to use the corresponding syringe for proper dosing.
U-40 Insulin Syringes
The “U” refers to units of active insulin, and U-40 insulin has 40 units of insulin per milliliter of liquid. This more soluble type of insulin is designed specifically for cats and dogs, and you must always use a U-40 insulin syringe, which is smaller and has a red cap, to administer it.
U-100 Insulin Syringes
U-100 insulin has 100 units of insulin per liquid milliliter, so it has 2.5 times the insulin as U-40 insulin by volume. If your vet prescribes this type of insulin, it is essential to administer it using U-100 syringes, which are larger and have an orange cap, to ensure proper dosing.

These are very similar to what I got at my Vet for my Diabetic cat & cost less. They work well for us, are easy to read and Chewy always has top notch customer service. I only wish my Vet still dealt with Chewy vs I have to mail in the script myself now. Which isn’t a huge deal but definitely slows down the process of getting them to me. But, I can see where in the process things are when I check the status of my order.
Perfect Solution
This syringe is exactly the right needle length, dia, and volume for use with a dog with long fur. Human syringes just don't fill the bill.

Product has changed, and not for the better!
I had ordered two boxes months ago and had no issues with them. This time, however, I noticed a difference right away. The clear end cap was ridged and felt different from the previous smoother end caps. Not really a problem, but when I tried to fill the first syringe with just the 1cc that my cat needs 2x daily, I had a really hard time because the numbers were much smaller than before and the marks were less obvious. It was definitely much harder to gauge where the line was. I will keep using them, but I will also need to use a magnifying glass to be sure I dose her correctly.

This product I've been getting from my Vet at $10 more. Great price and good needles.
Poorly designed
The first batch was fine, but upon receiving the second batch of syringes I realized the cap design had changed. I usually preload 10 syringes at a time. Just as I completed filling the last syringe, I realized that the insulin had been pushed out after inserting the cap. Thereby wasting a lot of very expensive medicine.
Poor quality insulin syringes
Don't waste your money on these terrible syringes. The needle is flimsy and can barely puncture the insulin pen and this also makes it difficult to inject the animal.
Cheap needles
These are cheap not like the ones I get from my vet very low quality and breaks before can be used do yourself a favor and do not waste your money
Diabetes in cat
Finding out my cat has diabetes was not easy to hear. So it was nice to know a good place to get his supplies quick. It was easy to order and it was quick to get here. The product was exactly what I need to inject his insulin
1 IU Markings, NO FINE DOSING
I relied on Chewy's "frequently bought with" suggestion... that was a mistake. We need to dose adjust (according to TR [tight regulation] protocol at FDMB) with Lantus as low as .25 that's not feasible with 1 IU markings. Stupid me bought 4 boxes. I'd like to return the 3 unopened ones.
