The gerbils had a great time climbing the little ladder and curling up in the coconut. I had a great time watching them learn how to use a swaying ladder. Riveting for the whole family!
Got this for my hamster and she loves it. But holding it up is just string and mine ate through the string so now it can’t hang. I don’t think it’s very good for her to consume that so I took all the strings off and she’s still uses it when it’s just sitting on the bottom of her cage. Overall it’s a good product just maybe not with the strings.
The gerbils ate through the ladder portion in a day.
Durable. It's on the floor of my cage. She doesn't chew it. Good for a hideout. Loves to hide and eat in there!
My young (under 6 months) rats do fit in these shells, but not easily. When given the option they were curious and did squeeze their bodies in, but didn’t stay in. They chose to sleep in by their hammock or tunnel instead of the coconuts. I think these would be great for smaller critters!
Not big enough for rats - would be best for baby rats and possibly smaller female rats.
