Great brush for large dog

Every night when I brush my teeth my Belgian Shepherd starts doing his teeth dance, looking for his brush in the cabinet if I leave the door open. He doesn’t have a problem with the size of the brush, it seems to just fit his mouth and does a very good job - although he seems to want tooth brushing to last longer! I replace it every three to four months and it works very well.

This item makes brushing quick and easy. You do have to open the dogs mouth wider because the brush does both sides of the teeth at the same time. My dogs are easy to work with and have gotten used to the routine. Definitely have avoided going to the vet to have their teeth cleaned.

I like the size great for a toy poodle 11 pounds. I like that it wraps around the teeth.

You have to open the dog's jaws wider to use this

Unlike a regular toothbrush, where you can brush the outsides of the teeth, this brush forces you to go down the middle, opening the dog's jaws significantly more to get the teeth into its v-shaped design. Maybe if you started a puppy with this brush, they would get used to it, but my 12lb Yorkiepoo wasn't willing, so I went right back to a more user-friendly brush.

I have a chihuahua min pin. About 18lbs. His mouth is pretty small. This toothbrush didn't work for him. But it is nice. Just wish it would have worked for him.

Brush head doesn't flex

I may have had the misconception that the brush head was pliable, but it is not. While the angled bristles are a nice feature, the plastic sides of the head are fixed and do not bend to the curvature of the teeth.

Super awkward to use doesn’t make it easier to brush the dogs teeth. Better off using a human toothbrush.

Favorite dog toothbrush

I brush my dog’s teeth nightly with this toothbrush. I like that it can brush both the front and back of his teeth at the same time. I replace it every 3 months and have never had a problem with it breaking, though my dog is very used to having his teeth brushed so he does not bite down on it. My dog prefers a different brand of toothpaste, so I’m happy to be able to buy just the brush rather than a kit.

I really like this toothbrush

I have been brushing my dogs' teeth for decades, and have used many different styles of them. I like this one a lot because the handle is longer & allows me to reach the back teeth a whole lot better. I also like the stiffer bristles. I feel like they get their teeth cleaner. My dogs have no problem with this brush. They like it as well as their other brushes.
