Van Ness EZ Clean Enclosed Cat Litter Box, Gray, Jumbo

Very happy with this big, roomy litter box, and our cat is, too! Mouse is mid-sized cat and very agile, so getting in and out and turned around in a smaller box was not really a problem. Her litter clumps too frequently ended up cemented to the bottom and sides of the pan, however, so we decided to try a bigger, deeper box that would allow a thicker layer of litter and perhaps encourage greater separation between clumps. Mouse also vigorously kicks litter high and wide in all directions when she scratches, so we were hoping that the deeper bottom pan/higher door threshold would reduce the amount of litter scattered outside the box. This is important as we live in a tiny house and the only place Mouse’s litter box will fit is in our bedroom. This litter box did the trick. We worried that the box might take up too much floor space in our already cramped bedroom, but easier scooping and reduced litter scatter more than make up for the inconvenience of lost real estate. For these reasons, would highly recommend the Van Ness EZ Clean litter box to other cat parents, especially those with larger cats and/or multi-cat households.

While Fiasco uses this litterbox exclusively, he pees against the back of it and urine seeps out. To soak up the pee before it drips down to the floor, I have to arrange strips of paper towels draped over the back before replacing the lid. Such a pain.
