The laser pointer does not come with a USB port for charging. To recharge the laser pointer, remove the cap containing the USB connector and plug the laser pointer directly into a USB port for charging.

To use laser pointer, press the switch on the side of the device to activate. The first position activates the flashlight, the second activates the blacklight, and the third activates the laser.

Answer by ChewyApr 29, 2022
Do not aim the laser pointer at the eyes or face. (Avoid direct eye exposure.) Do not look into the aperture while the laser pointer is on or point the laser toward reflective objects. Do not modify the laser pointer or remove protective covers or housings. Use of controls, adjustments, or performance of procedures other than those specified may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

Lasers can be dangerous

My kittens LOVED chasing the red dot. THEN one of them turned and looked at the source. He was blinded for several minutes. It was a very scary few moments for me. It took him about an hour before he would jump up on anything. And I still don’t really know if there was some permanent damage. A warning on this item isn’t enough; lasers shouldn’t be sold as cat toys.

This laser toy takes chasing the red dot to another level. You can select from the dot, a star, a mouse. You can make them look large or small by the angle you hold the toy at. I like that it’s rechargeable-use any standard cord- This is probably one of all my cats favorite toys

She loved it, I did not, through no fault of the product.

My kitten who’s about 9 months old LOVED it. Too much. She would look for it for thirty minutes after play had ended, even when I attempted to put the point on toys so she could “catch it” or when I tried to transition play to obtainable objects. I was getting a little wary of it, and then she started heavily panting during a short play session. We will not be using the laser pointer anymore, but I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision about whether or not it will be right for their cat. Midna has an insanely high prey drive and is very high energy, so maybe if your cat is like that avoid it and pick something else.

There’s no possible way this level of brightness has been tested for safety. It’s is 50x brighter than my last safety checked laser. This can permanently damage not just your cat’s eyes but yours, too. I’m really disappointed in this product, and sad many people don’t know about the safety of lasers. There’s no possible way this has been calibrated for pet safety, and its reflection back from every surface is way way way too bright.

Flashlight, UV light, and laser light all in one.

Ivory plays with it every night! She doesn't really care about her other toys that much, but whenever I reach for the laser, she's right there ready to chase it. Gives her a lot of much-needed exercise since she sleeps most of the day when I'm at work. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't had to charge it yet. But it has already outlasted the last cheap one I bought.
