    Enjoyed by all

We had used WEF chicken pate for our gang's bedtime snack. Tried the turkey as a change of pace and they like it also. The ingredients are relatively healthy and the taste must be good also. The consistency is on the dry side and more gravy would be a plus, but with water added it's acceptable.

My Fur buddies do not particularly like this brand of food. I don't know if its the consistency or flavor but they won't eat it.

    Disappointed

    By on

I have been feeding this particular flavor to my two cats for several years. They are a little finicky so it is difficult to find something they will eat consistently. We were very disappointed they changed the recipe and added chicken.

I have a cat with IBD and had looked high and low for a pet food with a single protein that was priced reasonably. I started feeding him this food and it was working out okay. Then started seeing a consistency change and contacted the manufacturer in March 2019. Swore up and down no change in recipe. Explained in great detail why it was an issue and told everything was fine. Flash forward to August 2019. My cat started having diarrhea again. Nothing had changed - same food, same dry food, nothing. I have been babysitting him trying to get him over what I thought was a IBD episode when I was going to place a new order. Found out they changed the recipe in April 2019 to include chicken I have a cat with IBD and had looked high and low for a pet food with a single protein that was priced reasonably. Found out they changed the recipe in April 2019 to include chicken. What I understand is that the 'new' cans for the small cans happened at the time it was changed to a new canning facility and moved from steel to lined aluminum cans. In this transition it appears they also updated the recipe. I also checked on the 5.5 oz cans and the new canning facility was delayed and they are reportedly manufacturing the 5.5 oz cans soon if not already and sending to distribution centers. So if you are looking for a chicken free cat food and only turkey? KEEP ON LOOKING!!!! Beating myself up for not catching it sooner. Chewy has updated their recipe so it shows now, but my last order it still said Turkey only. Was 4 stars and now down to 2... and would go lower but it worked for a while and other people might not have the issue with chicken like I do. Plus? I should have caught it but feel a bit sucker punched. … more

    something changed

    By on

I was SO excited to get my 4 cases of this food (been using it for over 2 yrs) and see that the cans are now lined, making it SO easy to get ALL the food out! now, 4 days and 8 cans later, my cats WILL NOT eat it. I don't know if there's some chemical in the lining, or some ingredient has been changed, but they simply won't go near it. let the search for a new single-source (turkey) protein (I have 2 with food allergies) begin AGAIN. what a nightmare. and the 4 beautiful cases will be donated to a shelter this week. whatever you did Whole Earth Farms . . . . you should take it back!

    No Longer Just Turkey

    By on

Recipe has been reformulated and now includes CHICKEN and CHICKEN LIVER. Very sad day for those of us who have a cat that can only tolerate turkey. Another one down.

    Agnes & Squeaks Fave

    By on

I have never had an issue with getting my girls to eat this food. They scream for it when I wake up in the morning and scream again when I get home at night. They both chow down on this brand's wet and dry with no problem. The ingredient list is also amazing and there's really no processed or additional crap added in. Well worth the price for a high quality food.

    Cats LOVE this

    By on

My cats LOVE the turkey flavor! It has a really nice, strong texture for a pate (not mushy or too soft). I feel good giving it to them, too, because the ingredients are high quality, not a bunch of fillers.

    possible mold in food

    By on

I recently opened up several cans with what looks like mold. I have also had inconsistency issues in the past, sometimes the food is very dry sometimes it’s very wet and sometimes it has a lot of fat. Also, there have been times where there’s about a quarter of the food missing. I called the company and they sent me coupons but I’m not purchasing these anymore.
