Description

Help protect your favorite feline and your home from parasitic pests with Advantage Flea & Tick Treatment Spray for Cats. Designed to aid in the control of flea bite dermatitis, this EPA-regulated spray works to kill and repel fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks and lice on contact. A great complement to a complete flea control program, this easy-to-use, leave-on spray can be applied directly to your pet, as well as carpets, upholstery, bedding, floor gaps and more. Its highly-effective combination of ingredients includes an insect growth regulator to stop the flea life cycle in its tracks, and keep them from ever reaching the biting stage. One powerful application lasts up to 100 days, and it’s safe to use on cats over 7 months of age.

Key Benefits
  • Aids in the control of flea bite dermatitis by killing fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks and lice on contact.
  • Can be sprayed directly on your pet, as well as carpets, upholstery, bedding, floor gaps and more.
  • Contains an insect growth regulator to break the flea life cycle and prevent them from reaching the biting stage.
  • Highly-effective formula last for up to 100 days and is safe for use on cats and kittens over 7 months of age.
  • Whisper-quiet spray can will continue to dispense even when can is held upside down, making it easy to treat hard-to-reach places.
Precautions

Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 7 days. ALWAYS read the entire product label prior to use. For indoor use only. Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems or outdoor metered release systems. DO NOT TREAT CATS UNDER 7 MONTHS OF AGE. Do not use in aircraft cabins. Do not wet articles to point of runoff or drip. Do not use treated article until spray has dried. Application of this product is prohibited directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to storm sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow this product to enter any drain during or after application.
Products with the active ingredient Pyrethrin can lead to negative side effects if administered incorrectly or ingested by Cats. Please use only as directed, and keep Cats away from other pets being treated with products including large doses of Pyrethrin.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Instructions

For Cats

Cover animal's eyes with a hand. Do not spray directly on mouth, nose, or eyes. Spray head, ears, and chest until damp. With fingertips, rub into face and around mouth, nose, and eyes. Then spray from neck to tail, finishing legs last. For best penetration of spray to skin and on heavy-coated animals, direct spray against the natural lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind your hand. Make sure the spray thoroughly wets ticks. When used on cats, towel-dry the animal after ½ hour if not totally dry. Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 7 days (1 week).

For Kittens Over 7 Months

Wrap the animal in a towel that has been sprayed lightly with this product. Leave eyes, nose, and mouth exposed. Put some spray on the finger and gently rub around eyes, nose, and mouth area. Keep animal wrapped for 5-10 minutes. Fleas may then be removed from the coat by picking or combing. For best results, all cats should be treated with a similar flea control product such as Advantage Treatment Spray for Cats to prevent reinfestation. Do not spray directly on kittens. Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 14 days (2 weeks).

    DOES NOT SPRAY

By CATMOMMA on Dec 10, 2020

I PURCHASED TWO CANS OF ADVANTAGE FLEA TREATMENT SPRAY FOR CATS. I TRIED TO USE IT, BUT NEITHER CAN SPRAYS. THERE IS A STRANGE SPRAYER ON THE CAN, THE CAN IS FULL, I CAN HEAR IT WHEN I SHAKE IT, BUT NOTHING COMES OUT. PERHAPS I AM MISSING SOMETHING? I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HOW GOOD IT IS BY SPRAYING MY FURNITURE AND CAT BEDDING. THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT TWO, SO I WOULD HAVE PLENTY...WELL! SUGGESTIONS ANYONE?

    product unusable

By vtareader on Nov 26, 2020

I bought this as a backup for unexpected flea outbreaks. But alas, when I needed it a couple months after I bought it, there was no accelerant to get the product out of the can. If you buy this product, test it right away. I waited too long and now not sure I can get a refund or replacement.

    Toomanyfleas

By Charlie on Nov 27, 2020

It's not the best flea product because how can one person get a cat to stand still in Ryder to apply the flea spray. There is a better area flea spray. In fact, I didn't begin to see a reduction of fleas until I used the other flea spray.

    Keeps fleas off carpets/furniture

By Shell on Oct 8, 2020

This keeps fleas off carpet and furniture in between the time you give your pets the treatment. This says it works up to 45 days. Haven’t had it yet for this long so don’t actually know if it works this long. But so far so good. Thumbs up

    White cat & Fleas

By mamacat on Sep 17, 2020

With little black on her, our white cat "spot" had chewed herself to be pink with the itch of fleas. She was not afraid of the spray and allowed us to spray her all over. I didn't find any concerns with this product and Spot is a happy cat.

I was excited to get to use this, but the handle broke after two sprays and would leak everywhere...waste of my money!

    It’s pretty good

By Kendu on Jul 19, 2020

It’s effective. I bathed my cat and let him dry before spraying him, and whatever his flea shampoo didn’t do, this did. He only had a few fleas left, and this made them jump off and go elsewhere. I’m buying multiple cans now.
