Using a standard 8-ounce measuring cup, the recommended feeding amount is based off your cats weight. Cats weighing 3 pounds get 1/3 cup daily, cats weighing 5 pounds get 1/2 cup daily, cat weighing 10 pounds get 2/3 cup daily and cats weighing 15 pounds get 1 cup daily.

What are the hard white specks I find in the kibble? Is it ground bone?

These white specs are very tiny pieces of bone fragments. This is very common in fish based recipes. All of the recipes are emulsified through very fine screens which breaks the bone down. The bone will then soften during the cooking process. There is no cause for concern if this is seen in any recipe, and should break easily between your fingers.

Urinary blockage after this food

Buyer beware! Just went on a trip for 10 days. My cat normally eats wet food, but we had to switch to try food in the automatic feeder while we were away. About

Buyer beware! Just went on a trip for 10 days. My cat normally eats wet food, but we had to switch to try food in the automatic feeder while we were away. About 3 days after we got home, one of our cats got a blockage. He’s been in the ER since Thanksgiving (about 4 days now). We have left for trips and put our cats on dry food, many times. I normally go out of my way to buy top tier dry food for them. Never an issue. Gave this brand a try and now my cat has a $6k vet bill, and growing. Shame on me for wanting to try a cheaper route. This is what I get I guess. But I hope I can help someone else’s cat out in the future. DO NOT BUY THIS FOOD!!!

WOW! - such a nice surprise!!

My cat absolutely LOVES this dry cat food!!! I was pleasantly surprised when I fed her and she immediately started eating it. Only needed a short period of time

Fiona is picky about dry food and she eat this

It will last longer than I expected, but she enjoys it enough that she does eat it, which is a miracle. She tolerated Iams and hated Blue Buffalo. So glad she enjoys this enough. Took off auto-ship because I have no idea how long it will be before I need another bag.

FINALLY! A food they all like.

I have way too many kitties plus a few fosters. One of mine is allergic to seafood. When you read labels closely, even the chicken flavored foods have salmon oil

Because of this, I am very limited on what I can feed. American Journey Turkey & Chicken is completely seafood/fish free AND everyone loves it!
