My cat had a strange side effect with Senvelco, gained an enormous amount of weight while on it, was becoming lethargic and, all in all, not good! Within a couple of days on Bexicat he is a terrorizing cat again. Bexicat is easy to use. I crush it, mix in with food and that's it. 3 months and going strong!

When my cat was first diagnosed with diabetes this medication had only been available for 6 months. Because she had not ever been on insulin injections, she was able to take this medication. Pearl drastically improved, started gaining weight back, and behaving normally. This medicine literally saved her life!

This medication has not improved our cats’ health concerns at all. Bexacat requires a ridiculous amount of testing while using this medication. Bloodwork alone is around $1,000/month (needed FROM START DATE: 3-5 days, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6-8 weeks, and IF things are going well then and only then can it move to 3-4 months between bloodwork). The bloodwork is not one simple test. Multiple tests at a time. I wish I would have started insulin from the get go and saved a ton of money!!!

I used to be a loyal chewy customer for years. It is absolutely unacceptable that this medication, which my pet needs to live, just got price gouged by going up $30 per bottle. Competitors still offer this medication at $30 - $40 less. I will not be giving any of my money to this company again.

Works for Dodger

Vet recommended it when my bebe was diagnosed with diabetes and hadn't seen much improvement with a food change. So far it's working! Definitely not for every cat

Vet recommended it when my bebe was diagnosed with diabetes and hadn't seen much improvement with a food change. So far it's working! Definitely not for every cat (if your cat has been treated with insulin, do not use!), but worth researching to see if your bebe might be a candidate. And Dodger loves it, it's like a little treat that he gets in the morning!

Easier than shots!

This is expensive compared to insulin but MUCH easier! He takes his pill everyday with no problem. I think a lot of the bad reviews come from people whose vets did

This is expensive compared to insulin but MUCH easier! He takes his pill everyday with no problem. I think a lot of the bad reviews come from people whose vets did not do the proper tests beforehand. This cannot be given to cats who are already in ketoacidosis. My vet ran blood, urine, and ketone tests BEFORE even suggesting it. If your cat meets all the requirements this is literally a life saver.

One pill, no injections!

My Spock has been on this for about a year now with great results. If you HAVEN'T used insulin yet, you should give it a try. It's a bit pricey but the tradeoff

Taking this is playing Russian Roulette with your cat's life.

Read, read, read the insert to this medication. My loving Mushy is now in ICU Vet Hospital after taking this medication. It isn't the miracle drug. After 4 days

Read, read, read the insert to this medication. My loving Mushy is now in ICU Vet Hospital after taking this medication. It isn't the miracle drug. After 4 days on this my sweet cat "crashed". Ketone levels went sky high. He became lethargic & weak. I resisted using insulin, thought this would be a savior med. Big expensive mistake. Please look at the case studies of this med, they aren't good. Also, have your Vet do complete blood work if you are willing to play Russian Roulette with your cat's life. Make sure ketone levels are normal. Do not take this med if ketone levels are not normal. Don't think taking this pill is the easy way to treat diabetes in cats, it is not. It is deadly. Love your cat don't take chances with their lives. Besides the good possibility of me having to euthanize my cat, I face a Vet ER hospital bill of over $5000. All because I wanted to take the easy treatment of one pill a day.
