STEP 1 Remove applicator tube from package.
STEP 2 The cat should be standing or in a comfortable position for easy application.
STEP 3 Holding the applicator upright, pointing away from your face, place your thumb and index finger around the applicator tip under the large disk. With the other hand, grasp the stem of the applicator tip above the small disk. Press down firmly on the small disk until both disks meet, piercing the seal.
STEP 4 Part the hair down to the level of the skin and slowly apply the product at the base of the cat or kitten’s head until the applicator tube is completely empty, as shown in the diagram below. Avoid superficial application to the cat’s hair. Do not get the product in your cat’s eyes or mouth.

No. Catego kills fleas and ticks through contact so it is not necessary to wait for the flea or tick to bite your cat for Catego® to begin working.
Catego is specifically designed for cats. Please use only on cats. Do not use Catego on dogs, or any other animal.
Catego works fast and kills fleas within 6 hours.
No, apply Catego only once a month, or as recommended by your veterinarian.
Catego can be used on kittens over 8 weeks of age and weighing over 1.5 lbs.
While Catego does kill by contact, it is possible that you could still see fleas on your cat for a period of time. Usually these are new fleas existing in the environment, or fleas that have been exposed to Catego and have yet to perish.
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.
I have twenty cats that are in out cats, so I’m always looking for an inexpensive flea treatment. I’ve tried quite a few none of which seem to work well. I’ve had some success with Catego how ever not all cats are equal. small cats it seems to last close to a month, larger cats a couple of weeks at best. A couple lost hair and had what looked like chemical burns on their neck. So use with caution is my advice..
I wish I could say this product worked well on my three cats, but it worked for about a week. I wonder if anything works anymore. We successfully used AdvantageII for several years, but then the fleas developed a resistance to it. Our cats are all indoor cats, but we live beside woods and get mice infestations during very cold and very hot weather. All of a sudden nothing works on them, not AdvantageII, Frontline, Catego and another product I bought locally. I guess my next step is to go the vet for a prescription product and hope that it works. I would say try it and maybe you will have better luck.
Started using Catego a few years ago. Bought it on a whim. Then, when using others line Frontline, the fleas weren't bothered. Always come back to this, and all 6 cats react well. Flea in the pic is one of several fallen off my cat after 5 hours.
Got the 6 dose box to treat our guys. Got the tubes ready to go and started to read the instructions and this pops out at me "may be fatal if swallowed." WHAT? That is definitely not going on my cats. It might be OK if you have just one cat but they groom each other all the time. Not worth the risk!
You’ll just end up having to buy the big name brands when this fails to work. Save yourself some time and money (and the added risk of a home flea infestation) by skipping this in favor of the more expensive flea treatments that are out there. It’s not worth the 1/1000 chance that MAYBE you’ll get lucky and have it work for your cat.
what on earth happened to this formula!? I can say it has been almost if not already a year since I've had to re order this product. but my cats are inside cats and they haven't had fleas in a very long time to where I know some how someway there was some sorta straggler or something that came home with us and this batch I got gave my cats relief for about a week.... I was so angry to find out I wanted my money as well as now have extra medicine that serves no purpose. I love that for me and cats that have been getting bit up EVEN WORSE now that this doesn't work anymore. JUST LOVE IT FOR US.
This is a great product especially for the price. Have multiple cats we have used it on. No adverse effects on any. Several outside cats were having problems with ticks and this product worked so well to help. We apply as directed. Also have a cat with flea dermatitis and he loses his hair terribly from just a few fleas. This product took care of his problem too. I do recommend it. Easy to open and apply.
We tried 2 doses timed exactly as instructed and all three cats still have fleas. Two cats go in and out and one stays inside. Never used a product this bad
It was recommended by my vet and sold by them, but the price is better from Chewy!
This works great had been using other long time brand and I will vouch this product works much better and we have to kitties that have major allergies and this product doesn't have the side effect of kitties loosing their fur as the other product did for many years! Thenak you for bringing this product to your sight!!
