Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

what are the side effects of catego flea treatment
Answer by ChewyJun 25, 2019
Monitor your cat after application. Individual sensitivity, such as slight transitory redness, erythema, scratching, pruritus or other signs of discomfort at the site of application, may occur after using any pesticide product for cats. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your cat with mild soap or shampoo and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs of individual animal sensitivity occur and persist, contact your veterinarian. Gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting or diarrhea have also been reported. If these or other side effects occur, consult your veterinarian or call Catego at 1-800-999-0297. Have the product container or label with you when calling your veterinarian for advice.

Underwhelming

Pros, this stuff doesn’t irritate my girls. I like that it’s just one size fits all. On the downside, I’ve used this stuff 3 months straight to give it proper time to take care of the entire flea life cycle. I never had an “infestation” but I had definitely seen fleas on my girls and occasionally one or two around the house. The problem is solved about 90% after taking all the necessary steps to rid the house of any issues. But I’ll still see a flea on them here and there. Not like it was but just doesn’t seem to have nipped it in the bud completely. Bummer.
