The cover is rough on the hands but only echos that it’s easy to rinse off and don’t have to worry about it ripping during travel when that time comes. It will be perfect for the beach! It’s a plastic type material that doesn’t saturate with water so if it was wet, simply wiping it off would dry it. It folds down extremely quick and easily and once packed, it is similar in size and weight to a small camp chair. It goes into its carrier very easy as well. This is great to keep your dog off the ground with stickers or rocks and is especially very nice if the ground is hot. My dog is 55 pounds and I got the large and it’s a great size for her to be able to spread out without being overly huge.
