Fluker’s Ceramic Reptile Heat Emitter is the perfect solution for keeping your cold-blooded friend comfortable and healthy, reducing risk of digestive problems or infection caused by inadequate heat. This large, circular emitter directs heat to increase the basking area without light. It’s a great way to supplement the overhead heat in your reptile or amphibian’s terrarium.
Reptiles are ectotherms or "cold-blooded" animals who depend on he surrounding environmental temperature to regulate their own body temperature. If the environmental temperature in your terrarium is inadequate, your pet may be susceptible to digestive problems or infections.
Large circular emitter directs heat to increase basking area
Non-light emitting element provides heat without bright, blinding light
Screw heat emitter into Flukers Repta-Lamp. Clamp lamp at one end of the enclosure (basking area) and plug in. Do not place heat emitter over glass or plexiglass. Do not allow reptile to contact the heat emitter. Turn emitter on and allow to heat for 30. Measure the floor temperature of the enclosure under the heat emitter to determine that it is appropriate for your pet.
They work for the most part. But within six months, I’ve had to order this three times. Honestly, this might even be the last time I order this because i just bought one on Black Friday and it just broke. If you want to try this, just have backups in case

In my area CHE bulbs are very expensive. I am thrilled to have an option with chewy for my saharan sand boa and my ball python Voodoo. They’re safe on their eyes, used with a lamp fixture on a thermostat and the first one has lasted well.
Love these heat emitters

Love the heat emitters! Can use at night, don’t burn out like the lights and last forever! Quality and value

I ordered these a while ago and its lasted a good few months and still hasn't died yet, but I opened this second bulb to brown stuff on it. I got most of it off
good for ambient heat

Using this for ambient heat in my ball python's 40 gallon terrarium. When put at one end, it helps maintain a temperature gradient. It doesn't give off light, so it can be used for both day and night. The 100 watt bulb isn't strong enough to heat the 40 gallon on its own, (my house is 66 deg F) but that's my fault for buying the wrong wattage bulb not a flaw in the product.

So I bought the 150w back in December to keep my 40g terrarium warm for my python! It last a month and went out Mid Jan where it's about to be the coldest time of year! Either this product just sucks. Or I just got unlucky with this emitter.

I ordered this ceramic heater back in July. It worked great for a few months and then it just stopped. I tried different electrical outlets, I tried different light fixtures, it just simply stopped working. I’m glad that when I did buy it, it was on sale so I wasn’t out too much money. In a perfect world, everything would work exactly as it’s supposed to, so I’m guessing it was just a bad bulb and I got unlucky.

Bulb out of package didn’t work so ordering another and hoping it works and it’s not my new lamp I just ordered as well.
Seems to do its job

Our beardie seems to have no complaints! This keeps her temps where are supposed to be and this has lasted longer than an other brand we have bought!
Perfect for a more natural night time heat!

I didn't want to use a heat mat for several reasons but also didn't want to use a red heat bulb (as much as I like being able to see my lizard girl) for night. This has helped keep her warm and feeling safe since it does not put her in a spot light. It also has helped with high humidity and bring it down. I got a thermostat for it but the lamp dome has a dimmer as well. I feel better with the thermostat but you can find an appropriate consistent temp with the dimmer.
