Description

That fresh aroma of pine, it’s coming from your cat’s litter box! Yup, these non-clumping pellets are made with 100% natural pine and nothing else. They absorb liquids up to three times their weight so odors don’t stand a chance at lingering around the litter box. And there’s no covering up odors with artificial fragrances or chemicals. We just let that pine do its thing at naturally combating those offensive smells for a fresher box the natural way. It’s low dust for less mess and provides fragrance- and chemical-free odor control for sensitive kitties.

Key Benefits
  • All-natural cat litter is made with 100% pine, and has non-clumping pellets that combat odors without any chemicals or added fragrances.
  • Pine pellets absorb up to 3X their weight in liquids to help keep the litter box fresh and prevent lingering odors, with daily scooping.
  • Uses pine’s natural odor-protection power instead of just covering up odors with fancy fragrances.
  • It smells like pine because it is pine, with no fragrances, scents, chemicals, dyes or additives. Perfect for cats that are sensitive to other litters.
  • Dust-free for less mess and perfect for single or multi-cat homes.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Transition Instructions

Some cats may require assistance in adjusting to a new litter. Begin with 1 inch of Frisco Litter covered with 2 inches of the previous litter product. Most casts will comfortably adjust to the new litter after 3 to 4 changes.

    Pellet litter

    By Susan69 on Mar 26, 2021

I’ve been using this litter for years now. As one reviewer stated—— it is the reverse of clumping litter. This pellet litter ( or most) are actually better for your cat and easier to scoop because their is NO SCOOPING. Pick out the feces from the litter, give the litter box a nice shake and pick out the rest of the feces. The urine DOES TURN THE PELLETS INTO SAWDUST because that’s what it is supposed to do. I have 23 cats ( I’m a rescue) and I have 11 litter boxes and with all honesty I get lazy and will miss two days.. NO BIG THING.... the pellets are dry on top so kitties can go on a dry surface than a box filled with soggy , scented clay! Imagine if you had to use a sandbox to defecate and I’ve been using this litter for years now. As one reviewer stated—— it is the reverse of clumping litter. Imagine if you had to use a sandbox to defecate and urinate and you ended up with scented!!! clay stuck between your feet that YOU HAD TO LICK AND PULL OUT WITH YOUR MOUTH! Not cool. Use this product. Pellets are the humane , eco friendly way to go and are awesome. I’d give 10 stars. Easy clean-up. When pellets have become where you CAN SEE that it’s turned to “ sawdust “ empty the whole box and refill. It’s great for sensitive cats, no buildup of clay residue in their lungs and mouth ( or ingested feces from tongue bathing yourself after you just crouched in the muddy urine soaked sand And licked yourself clean, which then the clay goes to the lungs and into the GI tract and causes intestinal distress. Constipation, vomiting etc.) I’m a retired veterinarian but I know what’s a great product and pellets are good! Biodegradable, so litter boxes can be dumped in my back yard And composts itself! For the sake of your cat stop using any scented litter. Causes major respiratory issues . Speak to your own vet about pellets. Buy a tiny bag and USE CORRECTLY and you will find its awesome! Stay safe ( COVID 19) … more

Mix with the ceramic kind first time

By Mari on Mar 27, 2021

For the pine pellets, you definitely need to either mix the ceramic kind or get an attractant. My cat originally did not want to use it because of the strong pine scent. After some effort, he is using it just fine now. Other than the initial hump, this is great. It’s way more cost effective than the ceramic and it is super low maintenance. I never smell the litter box anymore. Totally recommend it.

    Fantastic alternative to Feline Pine

By Mishkamom on Mar 13, 2021

Love using pine pellet litter as it is fantastic at eliminating the ammonia odor caused by cat urine. Plus it doesn’t harm my kitty’s lungs. I use the pellets with the Breeze litter box system. I simply scoop out the poop on the daily. Once done scooping I use the scoop to shift the pellets, the sawdust falls to the bottom of the Breeze system. I throw out the breeze pad and sawdust every 5-7 days. Then add pellets as needed. Easy!

    Pig Litter

    By FeralFamily on Apr 2, 2021 top250Contributor

I use Frisco Pine Pellet Litter for my pot belly pig named Silly. It is great for him. He use big litter boxes and as a pig, he needs a litter that he won't eat, doesn't have cedar, doesn't have artificial scents. This works perfectly. It absorbs well.

Keeps in urine smells REALLY well!

By Kasey on Feb 9, 2021

I recently switched to this litter from non-clumping paper pellets, as they're a bit cheaper. I started with the 20lb bag as a test. My cat seems to like this litter the same as the paper. The big 'issue' with this litter is that it turns into sawdust once it gets wet. This doesn't really bother me, but it could cause an issue with tracking out of the box. The urine smell is basically non-existent with this, though his poop smells are pretty noticeable. As long as I scoop his poop at least once a day, they're not too bad though. When the urine breaks down the litter, it releases a nice fresh pine smell. No ammonia smell, even when I'm emptying his litter box out. It would make my eyes water lol If you want clumping litter, don't go with this litter. It doesn't clump. You'll need to change your litter box more often (I change it about once a week or so) but with how affordable it is, it doesn't bother me. The 20lb bag was enough for ~4 litterboxes worth, at least for me. Another tip from me is to give it a good stir when you're scooping the box. My cat tends to pee in the same spot, so this helps extend the lifespan a little bit by making sure more of the litter gets used up and helps disperse the used up litter. … more

    Good For Light Use

    By Heathen414 on Mar 9, 2021 top500Contributor

If you have one or two cats this stuff is great. Not good for multi cat homes. It breaks down fast with heavy use. So took one star off. Sounds as if many don't know how to use this litter. You just scoop out the poo. When sawdust builds up, you can use a scoop to sift out the sawdust and put pellets back in box. Like reverse of clay litter.

    Not even worth 1 star!

By Kimmy on Feb 4, 2021

Feline Pine: At first, I really liked this litter. I mean, it is better than clump and seal. I actually have a jug of clump and seal to use whenever we run out of pine litter and I absolutely hate it. The problem with this litter is that my babies made such a big mess. Frisco: I didn't care for this litter so much. I just wanted to try something new but it mostly powder, not enough pellets. Simply Pine: I love this litter so far. I have been depressed lately so I haven't scooped the litter box in a few days. There was no odor, and there was no mess. I think the litter was too heavy to track all over the place. The pellets were large and they do what they're supposed to do. I'm going to Feline Pine: At first, I really liked this litter. I mean, it is better than clump and seal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY THIS ... CHEWY SHOULD SELL

By kittycat on Feb 25, 2021

I tried this Pine Pellet hoping I it would be less expensive for multi cats. But what a waist of money Just a little pee turns it to saw dust and then sticks to the cats feed and the mess is everywhere. I would think Chewy would not endorse this is not healthy for the cat or me. I think I better stop my re-ship order all together

Do you want to walk in pee?

By LitterQuest on Jan 19, 2021

I needed to love this...but 'twas not to be. I LOVE pine pellets and have been using the Okocat brand (around $19 for 22lbs). I found this 40lb bag of pine pellets and was so excited as I'll save so much money!! I've multiple cats, so budgeting is important...but so is quality. This litter is NON CLUMPING. Okocat pine pellets are CLUMPING. So when a cat pees on these Frisco pellets, it turns into sawdust! So I can't scoop out the urine unless I try to just remove a huge part of the litter, which doesn't really do it anyway as its sawdust! It's everywhere in the box and trying to scoop it also means you'll toss some unused pellets!
