Frisco Tie Out Cable, 30-ft

This tie out cable is incredibly thick & durable and the length was perfect. The width and thickness as well as the coating on the cable were phenomenal. We used with the Frisco stake with our 100 lb lab mix over our labor day camping trip and it exceed expectations. It didnt tangle or bend like other cables we've used and did a great job at keeping our big goofy dog from running amuck through the camp ground.

These are excellent products, but MUST be inspected often for cracked covering and internal corrosion. Rated for dogs up to 150 pounds if I remember correctly, but my 75-pound Pit Bull (full ADA Service Dog certification) has snapped two of them. His 'release' command for play time and a running start with a weak spot (cracked jacket and rust setting in) on the cable don't mix. Check for cracks and corrosion often.

I use this cable with the Frisco Tie Out Stake for my foster dogs. My yard is not completely fenced in, so this works out perfectly when I can’t stay outside to keep an eye on the dogs. The cable is thick enough that they can’t chew through if they were to try. When she goes the farthest distance from the stake, the cable stays secure and anchored to the stake. It gives her enough length to roam almost the entire backyard.

This is an excellent product with heavy duty snaps. Our Bouvier Des Flanders is very active, when attached to this tie out cable, hitting the end, realizing its ability to keep him within the area, immediately stopped trying to test it. This 40' cable accomplished exactly what we purchased it for. I would highly recommend this product for anyone wishing to keep their large dog in a controlled environment.
