Can I refrigerate half of the can and feed 24 hours later? I give my cat the dry c/d and the morning and wet in the evening to go with his meds.

Answer by ChewyMay 25, 2019
Opened cans should be stored in the fridge, at temperatures between 40-45°F, for a maximum of 5-7 days. Any cat or dog food remaining after that time should be thrown out.

I ordered the Multicare CD chicken in the 5.5 oz cans. Is there much difference between this and the CD Stress product?

Answer by ChewyFeb 04, 2018
The Hill's c/d stress is formulated with additional ingredients to help manage stress since it can lead to urinary issues.

I’ve been getting this product and the other flavor for my cat for years. He used to eat half of a can every night in little to no time. He couldn’t wait for wet food. Recently in the last few months, he hasn’t been eating it. Sometimes it’s a few bites and then he walks away. Tonight, he didn’t even touch it, which is what made me write a review. What changed? Something in the formula or ingredients? What’s the alternative? We were very happy with this product, despite the high price.

My cat doesn’t love the food, but he needs it for his health. Over the holidays the other place i purchase this, the one that begins w A, sent a ftiendly email saying order would be delayed a week. I had only 3 cans left. Spent an hour on the phone w their CS who reassured me they’d rush an order. Which wasnt getting it to me any sooner! I called Chewy w whom i had an account and in less than 5 m conversation w a smart, personable agent, i was guaranteed an order in two days. It actually came the next day.. chewy cs is the best. They use FedEx, which isn’t, but i may switch back to them. They really did keep my cat safe and i am grateful!

My cat, who has always been a fiend for wet food, has turned into a velociraptor in order to break into anything edible other than this food. It smells absolutely foul after being out of the can for more than an hour, it looks gross and lower quality than any other wet food I've tried and is somehow still a million dollars.

After 4 years she developed an allergy to chicken (diarrhea, almost constant grooming, tiny biting at her skin). Had to change the protein: switching to seafood or other non-chicken. Not the product's fault. Also pate just smears around in the dish. Want chunks or flaked for the future. Thanks.

Don’t be fooled by this terrible food. There is nothing good about this food, Very disappointed in the quality and price. They have a wonderful relationship with Vets to steal your money and provide junk food for our beloved pets. Stay away if you’re wanting your pets to live long and healthy lives. They should be ashamed of themselves as a pet food company.

The prescription diet seems to be helping my cats bladder issues already. The cat does eat this food, but just a small amount about a teaspoon - teaspoon and a half in the morning and repeating in the evening. He seems to enjoy it warmed up a little, as well. Do invest in a good cover for the canned food.

Once they got the Purina Urinary prescription food they refused to eat the Hills chicken any more. They'll eat the Hills tuna but the chicken they leave sitting until it dries out. I even tried adding warm water but they still won't eat it but it takes longer to dry up. Oh well nice try, they are VERY picky about the Prescription diet we had to switch to. They want their Fancy Feast back but the vet says absolutely no. Anybody wanna buy 3 cases of Fancy Feast? I'm going broke fast I'm sure this food is well made they are just so picky. Good thing I love them so much, they are all I have...
