Very disappointing!

I order many things from Chewy and am usually very pleased. This order, however, was not even close to good. Every single can in the 24-can case of cat food was dented. None were broken open but every single one had a dent. Even the cans in the middle rows had significant dents which indicates the dents didn’t happen during shipping. I don’t know if Chewy is buying damaged goods from Hill’s at a lesser price or what but I feel it’s very hard to explain. Yes, I’ll buy from Chewy again but next time this happens the shipment is all goin back.

A great option for a cat with these needs

I initially balked at the price point of this food, as it seemed a very expensive investment for my cat, who was recently diagnosed with mild kidney issues. However, she was so used to getting wet food daily, I knew having a kidney-supportive option was necessary. She had been picky in the past about other similar wet foods (royal canin, and the stew version of this food), so I was glad to see her take to this immediately. Since it comes in big 5.5 oz cans, I only give her a little at a time, as well as supplement with the k/d Kibble. So far in a day and a half she's almost gone through an entire can, so that is a relief.

Service, great; product, the cats say "No way!"

When I learned that Frankie had chronic kidney disease, I stocked up on the prescribed K/D food. The customer support people at Chewy were wonderful, helping me with the prescription and the order. [I'm somewhat challenged in the tech department.] During the very brief--two-day--wait for the Chewy order, I served the K/D and got from the vet. Frankie would NOT eat it. His pal Jerry wouldn't touch it, either. I decided that instead of trying to force the cats to eat it (good luck with that!) we would eat whatever tastes good and enjoy our remaining time as much as possible. That brings Chewy back into the picture. Again, customer support came through as champs, helping with the return label.

Love Cheweys

So convenient to have Chewy’s deliver the cat food in 1 to 2 days. My 17 year old cat Missy is doing so good on her kidney prescription and gobbles all the food down. She loves the tuna flavor, not so much the chicken. Thank you Chewy’s for your deliveries.

Change in ingredients?

Both of my cats used to love this brand and flavor. I ordered this flavor and the chicken flavor and neither one of my cats ate it. I have tried several times. They used to devour the whole thing and now they walk away. It is both the tuna and the chicken flavor that they won't eat anymore. It seems like they may have changed the ingredients. Very disappointed, since one of my cats has CKD.

My cat did not like this food

My cat did not like this food, I tried 2 cans on her and she just would not eat it. Now I'm stuck with almost a whole case of it. I ordered the dry of this and she ate that with no issues she just really did not like this. I would not recommend this food to anyone with a picky cat.

CKD cat sometimes likes this food

Cats with kidney disease always seem to be the pickiest. My healthy cats are dying to get to this food, but my CKD kitty only likes it sometimes. She’ll inhale it one day, then ignore it the next. Since I often give her two different types of foods to choose from so she’ll just eat something, I’m keeping this in the rotation because she doesn’t hate it. I wish she could just tell me her daily food preferences so we wouldn’t have to waste so much food.

Mixed review

My cats’ vet prescribed this food to my elderly kitties who have chronic kidney disease. I think the food is great, my cats not so much. I’ll have to introduce it in small batches over time. Hope it helps them.

So far so good

My cat has kidney disease so he is on Hills k/d diet both wet and dry. He seems to be enjoying both. Dry is his main meal and he has a small amount of wet twice a day. He seems to be eating the pate tuna with interest. He had previously been turning his nose to the pate chicken after the initial opening of the can.

Expensive but effective

Our cat needs a special diet (along with meds) because of hyper thyroid. She is eating this (amazing since she is very picky) and is gaining back weight. A vet needs to ok your order but Chewy took care of that. There is nothing in this that should require a doctors order so just a trick that Hills uses to charge more money. But, I can't argue against the results. It is a bit less expensive through Chewy and delivered to the door so that is good.
