The first time I bought some she wouldn't touch it and the feral cat wouldn't eat it. I tried it again recently and now my elderly cat will eat it. But it does need to be warmed in the microwave and then she only eats small amounts. I've started cooking for her, but it would make life easier if there was some commercial food that was renal friendly and that she actually liked.

My cat loved it...

My cat absolutely loved its tuna goodness and creamy-looking pate. It certainly smells incredibly fishy which he is a fan of. He is very picky, so we were surprised he loved this immediately. He was asking for this several times a day, which is great because he is towards the end of his kidney disease and has no appetite usually. Unfortunately, he doesn't love it as much anymore, but it is no reflection on the quality of the food and just where he is on his journey. If your kitty likes pate formed cat food and seafood, then they will love this. It is expensive, but most vet diets are.

My cat does not like this food.

She normally likes wet food. It has been a struggle to get her to eat this food. I’ve tried blending it with other wet foods that she likes and she still won’t

Vastly reduced vomiting!

Jaz has been diagnosed with kidney disease. She wont eat food with supplements but she will eat this. And so will the other two. Its very expensive, but so far worth

Jaz has been diagnosed with kidney disease. She wont eat food with supplements but she will eat this. And so will the other two. Its very expensive, but so far worth it to see three cats all eating politely and not regurgitating or vomiting every week.

Special thanks to Chewy and Hills.

We have the honor of loving and taking care of our Dear senior Siamese of almost 18 years of age. She has many issues including the issues with UrinaryTract Infections

We have the honor of loving and taking care of our Dear senior Siamese of almost 18 years of age. She has many issues including the issues with UrinaryTract Infections. Her blood tests show no renal failure (I know, we are fortunate) and was put on this food by our Vet. She LOVES it! Hana has cataracts and can barely hear anymore, but we will always give her what she needs and wants until the day that she tells us that she had had enough. Thank you Hills for this quality cat food and Chewy, what can I say other than you ARE the best.

A cat's preferences rule

Our dear Calliope simply won't touch it. The only things she eats are Friskies dry food and a kind of Puree with tuna labeled "Tastefuls". made by Blue Buffalo

My cat likes this better than other brands of KD food

This food helped get my cats proteinuria under control and most importantly he will eat it. The pate is very moist and smooth, unlike others which were too stiff

Canned food is sticky

He won’t eat it I waited a couple days and introduced it again and he wants nothing to do with it. He’s never been a finicky eater
