Very Small and Too Expensive

I bought this box because I thought the high sides would be good for our new foster who was previously outdoors. He is about 6 months old and this box is almost too small for him! He is not even a big breed (domestic short haired tuxedo). He will almost certainly grow out of it, and then I guess we'll have to give it away or something. I feel like $16 was highway robbery for this, and I should have known better. Just go to the local pet store so you can actually see the size of the box you want. Ordering online isn't worth it sometimes.

Poor design

Should have listened to the poor reviews. There is an indention around edge and the litter gets stuck there and is very hard to get fully clean. I was just going to deal with it, but now found out that pee is leaking out between the box and the extension and has stained my wood floors underneath it.

No smooth bottom

Everything was perfect about this litter box, I love the high sides, except... it does not have a smooth bottom. Which makes scooping/scraping the things around the edges, a pain. Also the scoop works for the kittens, but not big enough for my adult cat.

I would not recommend this litter box. The top part does not fit properly in the bottom piece and keeps getting knocked off. Litter goes through where the pieces should connect because of this. There is also an indention around the box, as others have pointed out, that collects clumped litter. It’s hard to get into that space to clean it out thoroughly. I will continue to use until it needs to be replaced but won’t order again.

helped my senior cat

My senior cat was missing and we had gone through three cat enclosures because they would start to stink after several months no matter how well I cleaned. The lid makes sure he is in the box and there hasn’t been on miss since the purchase a few months ago AND it fits in the car enclosure which is a bonus. No more money wasted on new enclosures Andy senior kitty can pee without a human hovering to clean up after him.

Nice Box But Beware

Products claims to be 19" long. However, upon receipt it looked very small. Measured 3 times all different ways and still came up with 17". Lost my big boy and my girl is small. Wanted to change of a big box to something better for her. If it were actually 19' long it would have been good. Poor thing has no room to turn and do what she needs to do. Went back and ordered another. Hopefully the correct size will be right this time upon arrival.

Happy, turned to disappointment

I have used this product for ten days. I purchased this as I had my old litter box inside a large tote to keep the litter from getting all over the place. This litter box was inexpensive and wanted to try it. Although I had a little problem getting the top to snap on, it seemed well-made, and I thought it would work. The cat seemed to have no problems adjusting to the new litter box. I clean (scoop) the litter box at least once each day, and wash it when the litter gets low. My cat digs a hole in the litter, does his business and then covers his business. You will see the claw/scratch marks in the photos. I didn't expect it to scratch so easily. My main two complaints are there is an imprinted handle in the front of the liter box. Clumped litter gets caught on both sides of the handle, (see pictures) making it impossible to scoop out and very difficult to wash. The bottom is not flat, making the litter hard to scoop as the urine gets caught in the low areas. I am very disappointed in this product. Smooth sides and a flat bottom would have improved this product. I would not recommend this as it is very difficult to keep clean.

This helped my cat stop peeing outside of the litter box

We had top-loading litter boxes for years and also a cat who only wanted to pee on a couch in our basement. I didn’t put the cause and effect together until I read Jackson Galaxy’s book, but when we switched to this side entry with high walls, the problem stopped. Great product!

Good concept, flawed execution

I was hoping that I'd be able to ditch the pee pads that I normally have around my litter boxes, but I noticed that the urine (while nor being sprayed on my wall anymore) is dripping down the sides from the seal between the bottom and top. Not a fan, but at least it helps control flinging litter.

worst litter box design

It’s hard to put into words how poorly designed this litter box is. The top just sits in the bottom and if you have a vertical urinator like I do the pee just goes through the crack in the side of the box. Also scooping it is hard because it has a lip at the front and I used a large metal scoop not the tiny one that it came with so getting in the corners is hard. The top also falls off and litter gets all over the floor if you have young playful cats who don’t go through the entrance. Such a bad purchase.
