This worked for my indoor/outdoor cat!!! Better then the verbac stuff I tried on her.... She was still bringing in fleas and ticks alive from that stuff... This I haven't seen anything and the amount seems to be perfect since she's not a big cat. I try to save and this beats spending another 40/50 bucks on Frontline since it's what I use for my dog and my barn cat gets sentry and she seem to be okay with that also. So idk why some the bad reviews for this.
My three cats are good about having topical flea medication applied, but with this one, they freaked out. It seemed to really burn going on. It did not resolve the fleas at all. After two weeks, they had far more fleas than they started with and remained that way. It's been so expensive buying different flea meds for 3 cats and have them not work. I've been trying to rid fleas for 4 months, vacuuming every day and washing linens frequently too.
I put this on my indoor cat one week ago and he still has lots of fleas. I flea comb him like 3 x a day and there are still large fleas all over him. Now I'm stuck because I can not treat with another med for 30 days. Meanwhile our house is getting infested. Thanks
I bought this for cost effective.. It's not working my cat after two weeks was COVERED in baby fleas and eggs and flea poop .. It caused hair loss on all my siamese mix breeds and one of my maincoon mixes where it was applied .. It seemed to help with mosquitos with the ferals I tried for 3 months in a row.. It's just not working for my indoors on the fleas .. Inuse this in conjunction with the Pill as well they get the liquid treatment day one then the pill day too and a follow up pill if needed Outdoor cats (ferals).don't get any pills clearly I'm doing good to get the liquid on them lol I can touch and pet them but not shove pills down their throats ..
Treated for fleas in a multi cat household, some with this product and some with Bayer advantage. Those treated with Nextstar are still having a problem with fleas while none are being found on the cats treated with Advantage. Could just be coincidence, but for the price this product did not meet my expectations.
I'm very disappointed in Nextstar. I thought it would be a good product since it is made by the makers of Capstar, but it has not worked at all. Fleas are worse than ever and my cats are covered in scabs. I will be switching back to Advantage.
I applied this treatment to 3 cats, and they all lost hair where the treatment touched the skin. I am talking about huge bare skin areas. Moreover, the fleas didn't die.
I was a little skeptical to use something other than the brand I have been using for years. But with a mild yet consistent flea problem that was not going away. I decided to try Nextstar. NEEDLESS to say, I have not seen anymore fleas. A little bit has gone a long way.
Bought a 3 month supply for our outdoor cat. 2 weeks after the first dose and he had 2 engorged ticks on him. Save your money and find a different product. We are in South Central NY.
I had high hopes for this particular flea treatment for my indoor cat. How he has fleas I don’t know, but the vet assures me there is flea dirt. He’s still reacting to being bitten by fleas and it’s been two weeks.
