CAN THE WINDOW STILL BE OPENNED AND CLOSED WHILE THE PERCH IS INSTALLED?

These do not work. Don't waste your time or money!

Somebody asked a question about whether these will work with sliding windows. The response from lajg said, "These do not work. Don't waste your time or money." I did not see them leave a review. So, my question is, what is it about this perch that will not work?

The Pet Adobe Petmaker Cat Window Perch with Bolster is compatible with sliding windows as long as the window slot is 1.5 inches deep, the sill is shorter than 8 inches, and the sill to wall length is within 2.75 inches, as shown in the image below.

Wide enough for my cat to lay down and curl up.
