Big disapointment

My cat goes crazy over my toothpaste and anything with mint. She smells it from three rooms away. But, people toothpaste is not really healthy for cats and so I was delighted to find a mint toothpaste designed for cats (and dogs). My cat was totally uninterested in this toothpaste. She smelled it, tentatively tasted it to please me and then simply ignored it. I smelled it and there was NO mint aroma in it. I didn’t taste it, but is it possible to have mint flavor without mint aroma? Actually it doesn’t matter as it was a terrible flop mint flavor or no mint flavor. Again, I’m terribly disappointed and am annoyed that I wasted my money.
